Had my 38 week check up today - 38 weeks! Just writing it is scary.

She said the baby's head is engaged, that's good, right?

Certainly is...means babys heading in the right direction! Mind you, your bladder will now feel like its being used as a trampoline  not long to go now, and with those nesting urges.... oooh keep us posted!

Now I'm not suggesting that we should be logging onto MSE on an hourly basis or anything - but Agutka has been offline since yesterday afternoon...

No, queue jumping is definately not allowed! She can wait her turn like everyone else on The List :rotfl::D.

I'm sat here grinning like a cheshire cat! I feel so special, people noticed I was gone!!  :happyhear
This is precisely why I asked hubby to plug the internet in. All that happened was new carpets are being put in, so new lot of upheaval for the house.

Trust me SB, I do not want to be doing any jumping.

The decorator says he's finished, so it's *just* a matter of putting everything back where it belongs. Hmmm... That should take a few years.

But hubby has promised that the nursery will come into existence by tomorrow!! Whoo-hoo! We get to put a cot up!

In the meantime I'm still a beached whale, who can't do anything really, although I have promised to put stuff away in the kitchen (the new cabinets are so much smaller than my old ones, so having trouble already) and maybe even wash some baby stuff today. Please do not send me labour vibes!

    PS How cold is it!!!!

  • Hey guys

    Hope you are all OK.

Can still see myself being here for a while yet! Am booked in for another sweep on Tuesday and if that fails they are intending to start me off the following Sunday. Have just developed a strange blotchy rash on my stomache and am trying to decide whether to ask midwife about it or not (think I will wait until after lunch as I am due to meet all my old workmates so that they can marvel at the size I have got to - I am only 5 foot tall and i think I am at least 5 foot in diameter so I look like a ball on legs):D

Are your midwifes being proactive or are they just leaving you to get on with it?

  • Hi Sarahh112, how come they are sweeping you so early on?!? Not fair! Here we have a term plus 10 appointment if no baby by EDD and mine is next Friday. Baby and I will be monitored for an hour and be offered a sweep then and if nothing has happened within 4 days, I will be sent to hospital for a 'proper' induction!

YIPES, I am really near the top of the list .... 38 weeks on Sunday.

However, I've just decided that maybe am too young to have a baby (mid 30'a) :rotfl: and maybe I am not as prepared as I thought I was :rotfl: soooooo..... help, eek!

This has been the fastest 8 1/2 months on record and I'm going to meet my gorgeous little boy soon .... I am just so overwhelmed and can't quite keep up with all my emotions .....

OK, off to do ome cleaning ...... ;)
