  • Oh, Boobylou, so sorry...:grouphug:...look after yourself xxx
  • I'm so sorry Boobylou. Take care of yourself and get lots of rest. sending lots of big hugs your way.

I had my midwife appt yesterday and all was well. My iron levels have dropped a bit but not enough for the tablets so will have another blood test at 36 weeks to see how they are doing, so thats me eating lots of iron-rich foods in the next two weeks!! anything to avoid the tablets!

She also said that baby is 1/5 engaged... which surprised me a little but it made me feel good as it felt like something was actually happening!! Does that sound weird!

Good luck SB... hope things start for you soon.

  • A question of a "delicate" Nature.

I don't wish to lower the tone but neither is it a question that I would want to ask face to face so I thought you experts here may have experienced it or have any thoughts!! - Here goes.

Do any of you suffer from you "lips" (and I don't mean on your face!!) feeling uncomfortable and a little throbing etc for no apparent reason?? Is it entirely normal? I'm 28 weeks and I've definitely been aware of it for about a week.

    Thanks
    Proud to save:T
  • Thanks for all the replies.

izoomzoom - glad everything came back for you. It is quite reassuring to know that you had a 1 in 250 chance and had an amnio. Was sort of thinking would i be silly to risk an amnio at 1 in 170 chance.

Been to hospital today to discuss it. Am going to have my scan in two weeks and then decide what to do. Not sure if this is the right thing. Think that even if they can see anything negative on the scan I will still want the amnio. OH thinks that it the scan seems ok we should do nothing. Really confused. Could have had amnio today which i sort of prepared myself for. So feeling a bit in limbo at the mo. I think i should have asked how many amnios are carried out a week at the hospital i went to, was thinking it would be far more than 2/3.

Hope everyone else is feeling OK. this site is great as i can 'talk' to other people who may have been through similar and can ask things that i might not be able to ask anybody else. Thanks everyone.

Boobylou - so sorry for you hope you are feeling OK.
    now mum of 4!!!
