My first midwife appointment went well she is really nice, and she didn't hurt me when she took all that blood! :j 5 vials! Anyway I should get a date for my first scan soon she expects the scan to be between 10-12 weeks, which is only 3-5weeks!:D

I'm looking forward to getting to know you al a little better!

My hospital doesn't offer those 4D scans I asked last week :-( we still can't decide whether we want to know the sex or not - how do you decide something like that? One minute we want to know the next we dont!

Newleafer you weren't wrong by much!! Glad m/w was nice.
I had my 16 week check today, got bloods and heard babes heartbeat, OH said it sounded like a monster!! The M/W just started laughin!!

Hi Shelvis, usually 4D scans are nothing to do with hospital as they are for 'vanity' purposes not medical and you have to pay for them!

My PCT area offer to sex the baby at the 20w scan but unfortunately my babe would not play ball on the day and kept her bits covered! So, we (well, MIL!) paid for the 4D as we were desperate to know It was fantastic and I watch my DVD most days! x

Glad all went well, Scruffy! I love hearing my babe's heartbeat - it is so reassuring! My MW has checked at every appointment since week 16 x

Come on, CG, we are desperate to know! :j Hope all went well x

well, we get a free re scan as they were not happy with the pics,
baby had its hands, feet and cord infront of all the bits we really wanted to see, did get a couple of good shots but they are having us back on the 17th anyway....

was great to see baby again.... and.... am i forgetting anything?

yep, we get to go back... the pics were not that clear even though i had to get up and have a wander about, eat chocolate and drink lucozade twice during the scan
we tried!

dont mind one bit going back, we will get another DVD and more pics (free)
and of course will get to see our son again.. god... our son! after having a girl for the last 7 years that just sounds weird!

we went out shopping for blue stuff as soon as we left, coo-ed over all the little boys stuff that ive never really had to look at before,
the majority of my friends all have girls and my family only pops out a boy every 2 decades (seriously... the last 2 are my brother now 40, and cousin now 20)
but my sister in law is also pregnant and due in september so we now think she will have a boy just to beat me to it and disprove the rule! lol

will post pics tomorrow, we are exhausted now!!! (got no sleep last night thanks to vicious heartburn) so im going to flop on the sofa...
just thought you lot would lynch me if i made you wait ages for the news!
