Opinions on RSVPs to events.

Here's a question. Would it be considered rude to reply to a rsvp by text message?
Generally the etiquette is to reply in the same format you are invited unless the invitation states otherwise so if you receive say a written wedding invite then you should reply in writing unless the invite states different ways of replying such as email or text. Depends how formal the function is.0 -
I'd reply in time for the date on the RSVP and think it's bad manners not to reply at all . I wouldn't be too bothered if the reply was txt or facebook if we'd sent out a invitation . When we have wedding invitations etc I always send a reply by post . If people didn't reply to an invitation I'd think they weren't coming as it hasn't been important enough for them to bother to reply .0
