    anyone used webuyanycar.com?

THey are a glossy con, my car was valued at £280 at 9pm the next day when I took my car to them, they said there had been a change in the pricing grid and it was now worth much less, just £50 !!! and less the admin charge that meant they would give me a £1 for it. Disgusting just sold it for over £300 on ebay and the buyer was as pleased as punch

so now we all sing webuyanycar.CON:j

In my day £1 was a lot of money...
  • It is quite simple, there is one work for them "scum". Anyone who has posted anything positive on here about webuyanycar is clearly insane, a member of their staff or is being paid to do it. I personally will make it my mission to ensure they go out of business.

We had a 2001 Laguna Estate, needed £1200 of work to get through the MOT so got a quote on WBAC website of £700. Took the car along to them and you could hear the water pump had gone and he rightly guessed that it needed £1000 of work and offered £200, my husband got an extra £50 so £250 in total. Couldnt sell the car knowing it wasnt safe and needed lots of work and didnt know what else to do with it.

No, the requirement was that the car had an existing MOT, which it did. WBAC got their mechanic to look the car over, and he found the problems that needed doing. So, what he said was spot on. They do say they will buy ANY car. And btw there are many dealers who will try to sell you a car knowing there is something wrong with it, we test drove one that had smoke coming from the engine and the dealer didnt bat an eyelid.

It asks you on their website to describe mechanical condition and problems. What did you declare in that box?

What if you're a mechanical dunce?

Surely that's the whole point of them having a mechanic look over it.

At the time I filled in the quote box we didnt know that anything needed doing, so there was no opportunity to declare anything. In the meantime we found out what needed doing and arranged an appointment for them to look at the car. Not that its your business, but you seem to be on a personal crusade even though you dont admit to any connection. Maybe you work for Cash4Cars instead? They seem to be connected in some way too.
