I'm sorry but I put "we buy any car.com" to the test, not to sell, but to test to see what they were like. they quoted me £120 for a mint condition ford probe with 35k on the clock. I sold it 2 weeks later for £1400. The company is there blatantly to make money and its obvious there just to rip off idiots right from the start. Dont be a brain dead idiot. sell via auto trader0

Uh Huh
Lets be honest, they bid the (relatively) best price for cars they know they can sell on easily, or already have a trade buyer for. With respect a Ford Probe isnt going to be high on anyones 'must have' list.0 -

Why else run a business, if not to make money?
Just like all of the 'cash for gold' companies cropping up - it's a sign of the times............ preying on the desperate I'm afraid.:hello:0 -
These car buying companies are feeding into peoples desperation and hard times and paying jack for these cars.Used cars especially small ones are going up in price, give it a week on Ebay or Autotrader and you will retun far more for your motor. If its a dog and you can hide it at the appraisel dump it at their door because they have to give 3 month warranty on sale so the next buyer will have it fixed by them!0

I'd go the ebay route, rather than we buy any car more money to make those horrible TV and Radio adverts.0

1st Ford main dealer offered £4000 for my Fiesta
2nd Ford main dealer offered £3,700
WBAC offered £4,100 subject to going to one of their outlets for a final inspection.
So, knowing that WBAC are "on the make" and deliberately under value your car, what does it say about the Ford main dealers.
They obviously do the same, and also tell you a pack of lies just to get your custom.
Funny how the basic price for a new Fiesta and a Vauxhall Corsa are exactly the same
£9,995.
I guess that`s what you call competition!0 -
Im confused what to do with our heap of doom.
black bmw 3series saloon 190,000 miles on clock.
dent on drivers side door as neighbour thourghtfully drove into it and drove off.
faulty warning light its been to bmw dealership and local garage many a time they baffled its means the cat but its got a brand new cat and exaust put in last year, bmw argue it should be offcial bmw cat but that would have cost a fortune, nothing wrong with the car just that flipping warning lights its practically had every part replaced over the years so like new.
The back windows broken and taped up
front drivers window now playing up
not convinced air cons at its best.
scruffy interior as few panels inside back come off.
few scratches to paintwork.
11years old.
tax is up end of this month.
put into we buy anycar but couldent see how to list the faults.
camne up with 690 which hubby was horrified.
I reckon given its condition they may knock lower.
its in our home city so not too far to travel
just unsure dfoing research on autotrader if ist worth much more or garage would take it for that same price as high milage, old poor con.
No one would want it privatly and in a hurry to sell.
I do have cash to buy new one and thinking may have better negociating power of just paid cash and no heap of doom to exchange dont know what to to do.
theres another locally similar called cash for cars.
We overpaid for it 5years ago 5500 had high milage then, plus hubby does high milage and every year something goes wrong one year we spent 2000 on repairs told hubby to ditch ages ago but he dident listen.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:
Pay off as much as I can 2011 £15008.02/£15,000:j

2 Years ago I sold my 3 year old Merc "C" class on "we buy etc" I got what was offered on the website valuation which was a grand more than any other Merc dealer or independent dealer in the area was offering me, even against trade in . OK the car was very low mileage and dead clean and they wanted it but they were the only ones not ripping me off. I could have sold it privately for more but would have had the hassle of the tyre kickers and time wasters and the concerns over payment which would have been a worry. For a small extra I opted for express payment , the Bank Transfer was in my account by lunch time next day.You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I don't get why people are so against them. They offer a service if you don't like the price don't take it. As pgilc1 says the people who are angry with the lower values probably aren't putting the full details of the car in scratches, dents etc. In fairness if they find a scratch or a dent I really wouldnt mind them taking money off. They're a business who are offering something very different to part ex, cash in your pocket.0
