  • ...this company works buy buying your car and then selling it on to the trade for a quick profit...

Not quite, they retail the best stock through the Carcraft chain, which they also own.

This is why webuyanycar can sometimes offer a decent 'auction' price for a car, because they are going to get the retail margin from it.

The registered office of both companies is the same.

Interesting I didn't know that, however the point is still the same especially on the cheapies. Although it explains why on some cars they are a lot closer to 'trade' price.

Yes, they will offer £50 for anything provided it lurches forward when you put it in first gear.

Jesus, yes but i think you'll find that they are adverts to sell cars not to offers to buy a car that fits that description.

This is how a business works: they buy something, they sell it on for more.

The promise is we buy any car, not we'll pay top whack for any car.

    Anyway i give up.

Now car craft they are a dishonest bunch of shysters.

1st Ford main dealer offered £4000 for my Fiesta

2nd Ford main dealer offered £3,700

WBAC offered £4,100 subject to going to one of their outlets for a final inspection.

So, knowing that WBAC are "on the make" and deliberately under value your car, what does it say about the Ford main dealers.

I just thought I would update this after going online to WBAC a few minutes ago.

The value is now £4,305 less £49-99 admin fee.

So it`s actually gone UP by £200 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Ive just dealt with we buy any car and i was well pleased with what we got, i supsect we could have got slightly more but we got what we paid for the car we bought in may 2009.

We bought a honda crv brand new in 2009 for £17525, we used drive the deal and got a very good discount.

Anyway at the begining of feb i took the car round all the honda dealers and they offered me various amounts but the top price i was offered waas £17200, anyway webuyanycar offered us £18,200 so i thought i would give them a go, but on the morning they phoned up and said the valuation had gone down to £17600 so i thought here goes, i went to we buy any car and i told him i hadnt bought anylog books as i thought they was going to chip away at the price.

Anyway cut a long story short they agreed 17600 and we sold the car there and then i paid the extra 25 pound for the money to be in the bank the next day and it was.

me and the missus are well chuffed we have been driving around in a brand new crv for the last 21 months and we have not lost a penny.

we could have got more by selling privately, but who needs the hassle?

we have now bought a cheap runaround and banked the money for some house improvents and a holiday.

Today I did the deed and sold to WBAC.

It was a breeze. Took online valuation, had inspection done, offered a price (which was slightly higher than online offer as I had given too much mileage)

Paid for money to be in bank tomorrow and I have £600 more than what the main dealer was prepared to offer.

Easy smooth transaction and I didnt feel pressured to sell at all.

WBAC are offering slightly more for my car now than they did a month ago, still £300 less (plus admin fee, plus removal of private registration) than a Kia main dealer did for P/X against a brand new Picanto though.

FYI Evans Halshaw also buy cars for cash - their "Excellent Condition" price is what I've been offered by the dealer (not EH)
