oh blimey we have one of those books! I hate it!!! Tonight we rowed about whether bed-time story was Cinderella or Goblins in the drain (it's not what it's called but I can't remember the name!) We have our TV, Broadband, home phone with Virgin and its £26 for the TV & Broadband and £15 for the house phone plus call charges, Im thinking of doing away with the home phone, we never use it, always use our mobiles and people phone or text us on our mobiles too but it seems such a big thing to go without a house phone, has anyone else decided not to have a house phone?***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0

OK scrap that last idea, I just rang V and if I disconnect the landline we will lose our discounts and it will actually cost us an extra £4 a month
So the only way to save money/reduce our bill is to downsize the TV package, currently we are on XL if we change to L we save £5 a month but if we change M+ we save £12 a month .... either way we lose the only sports channel hubby watches so my dilema is do I change without telling hubby and when he notices, say V discontinued the sports channel or tell him down sizing will mean he loses the channel ??? I think he will be a bit annoyed, he doesnt watch it often and will get over it, think Im drawn to the first idea ***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 ***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0

Okay, time for an update, it's been such a busy week!
On the money front there's not much happening. Payday tomorrow, which means the money won't hit my account till Monday . Haven't spent much this week, although DD1's hairclip somehow got into the washing machine and shredded my work trousers, so may need to get another pair this weekend. . Complimentary swimming pass came today . The girls love swimming so must remember to use before it expires. . The girls love swimming so must remember to use before it expires.
Used my Clubcard points to get 3 passes to the Eden project when we are down there for our hols. Think they cost £19.50 in points, as DD2 goes free as she's not five till November :):). :):).
Currently dyeing a t-shirt brown for DD1's show tomorrow (yeah, yeah, I know I've left it till the last minute :rotfl:).
Oh, and Hubby has been doing really well with the new spending regime. Out of his £40 a week 'spends' he has managed to save enough to take me out for an anniversary meal tomorrow! We will have been married 12 years (together for 18) so really looking forward to it.:)
Now things are all out in the open, things seem to be going so much better. I think we must have been stuck in a bit of a rut (I didn't even realise it at the time), but we are having so much more fun recently - I am really enjoying our time together at the moment.:) Uh-oh, just realised how 'soppy' that sounds :rotfl:.Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

Had a lovely anniversary meal last night. We'd never been to this pub before and the food was really lovely. The service was speedy too, so we only really had time for one drink each and because the portions were so big, we had no room for pudding either (saved some money here, methinks).:)
DD1's show went well, although hubby was falling asleep through some of it (nearly two hours long!) and I had to keep nudging him when she came on. He has a habit of doing this and I can recall watching King Kong at the cinema, with him pretty much snoring all the way through :rotfl:.
Girls woke up at 6am this morning, but I managed to tune them out till about 7.30. Well. I came downstairs to find that they has set up a shop, with teddy as the storekeeper and a sign that said 'everything halth prise'. They had made hubby a voucher for father's day for the value of 30p so he could spend it in the shop! We then had to wait another 2 hours for hubby to wake up with the girls literally bouncing with excitement. We've all had a lovely morning.
This afternoon, we are all planning on watching a film, whilst sharing a big bag of toffee popcorn . Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327 . Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

            Hi HB
That's so cute when the kids play shop My ds2 did it last week on my kitchen table and all day I was missing things and then when he finally 'opened' up shop I found it all there :rotfl: he must have been playing it at school as i've never played it with him, not through want of trying he usually doesn't want to play anything like that at home, only nursery! It was so funny though as I asked him if i could buy back my potato peeler and he told me it was 3 trillion billion pounds  I gave him 2p and he seemed to accept the trade though :rotfl::shhh::whistle: My ds2 did it last week on my kitchen table and all day I was missing things and then when he finally 'opened' up shop I found it all there :rotfl: he must have been playing it at school as i've never played it with him, not through want of trying he usually doesn't want to play anything like that at home, only nursery! Hee hee! I love it how kids have no concept whatsoever of the value of money. DD2 thinks we can buy a house with what's in our change jar - simply because it 'looks a lot'. We haven't really had to start doing 'pocket money' in our house yet, but I guess it won't be too long as DD1 will be 7 in December. I was pretty rubbish with the timing of my babies as DD2 is a late November birthday, DD1 is a mid December birthday and then its CHRISTMAS! At least we can give them a shared birthday party this year (there's only 3 weeks between them). Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327 Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

Yep, definitely think a joint party is the way to go.:)
So, today has been another really long day. Had some good news from nursery as it would appear that I am £206.00 in credit, which effectively means I have NO MORE TO PAY, as DD2 finishes towards the end of July . .
Girlies have been really annoying tonight, constantly bickering and getting in each others faces. I did try to read them a story tonight, but they were far more interested in annoying each other, so I told them there would be no story as they obviously couldn't be bothered to listen to it anyway! This, in turn, signalled more weeping and wailing, with DD1 literally stamping
her feet and shouting ' I want my story'. Well, that was it, I sent them both to bed with the threat that they wouldn't get tucked in and have a goodnight kiss either (obviously I didn't carry out this threat!:D). Anyway, I am now writing reports. Six down, twenty two more to go!Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

Good luck with reports! I did my degree in Education and nearly all my friends went on to become teachers ( I decided to have 2 more kids instead..:o..) so my entire FB newsfeed has been devoted to them counting down how many reports they've written and how many are left :rotfl::rotfl:
