Hubby didn't do too bad with the shopping, although slightly over. However, it did take him 3 hours to do the shopping with DD1 and when he got back he was soooo stressed! What I hadn't told him was that DD1 has a really annoying habit of dancing about in shops, usually straight in front of people - she's very much a diva and likes people to be looking at her! Needless to say, after countless times of telling her to stop 'prancing about', he'd finally had enough and came home.
When he wasn't looking I went through the receipt and he had done pretty well, except for the F***a Buttery which he had bought two of, at FULL PRICE  I only ever buy this on offer and usually stock up, but I kept this thought to myself as he is a novice after all
.
Up early this morning, thanks to DD2 who was singing 'The sun has got his hat on' at 5 o'clock.
DD1 at theatre group and then we plan to go the Crosby beach this afternoon. For once the weathers looking good!

Hope you are having a delightful afternoon at the beach HB! Fabulous news about the swimming. It's amazing what complaining will do... now just to get your new complaining head onto the Halifax about that PPI.
I'm guessing you've paid nigh on £1200 in PPI over the last 11 years. Now wouldn't it be nice to get that back hmmm? Would cover last month nicely....
Look at this. It is a brand new month
I do so love these... Haha!
I've got an app on my phone now called 'OnTrees' - they also do a web browser version, you can log into both once you have set up on 1...
I can add all my bank accounts, credit cards etc in, & the DH's account also, and work out our cash flow immediately upon log in as it gets all the most relevant details & transactions. Was a bit frightened of it at first but it's actually fantastic (limited on who works with it at the moment) & much easier to obtain an overall idea instantly without logging into 3 different bank accounts & a credit card account lol. Maybe you could have this to check in on your DH's account without logging in all the time?

Fantastic time at the beach! Nearly didn't make it, as children were distracted by the playground that was near the car park and would have probably been quite happy staying there all afternoon
. Thought the Anthony Gormley sculptures were very striking although hadn't realised the 'naughty' bits would be quite so 'naughty'!:D Children weren't phased at all, which obviously means they are well-adjusted
.
Had a go at some kite flying too, as hubby had bought a twin pack from the Pound Shop. Have discovered that there is a reason why they are 50p each -
1. There are no instructions for making them
2. They only go six foot in the air, before spinning wildly and clonking you on the head :rotfl:
Total spends (excluding petrol) £3.20 for two ice-creams for the girlies.
Will check OnTrees, Lilt, as it sounds right up my street . Thanks

what a nice treat!
I have tonnes of educational text books which are actually worth a fair bit when priced up. Thing is I couldn't get anyone to buy them. But i refused to throw them away (having paid so much out for them ) so they are sat taking up room in the house and i'll never use them again. Right dilemma, i want to de-clutter but I want to do it MSE which means money to me and not to have to throw it all out to recycling/charity
(that sounds awful, i do actually give charity tonnes of stuff!)
I sold all my texts on Amazon and did very well. It was very easy to list them too.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hi lovelies, hope youve had a great weekend, hubby and I have spent ours building 2 new sheds , omg I have a sore back ! Anyway Im off out to lunch with a friend today, only 6 months over due .... we are going to the Harvester, I have trawled the net for a voucher code but non to be had
guess I will fill up on the salad and bread rolls and go without dessert

Afternoon ladies.
Karen, 2 (!?!?!) sheds is a huge amount of work. I don't think I'd have the patience to build one, let alone two. I felt super virtuous when OH and I built his desk a few weeks back & didn't just smash it up! So frustrating & my hands and back were agony!
HB hope you got a chance to look at the app & it was useful
Am just sat here watching a tired little lady who awoke after only an hour & a half today... She's starting to wake up properly & is stood in front of Mr Maker on cbeebies squeaking at the 'shapes'.
I am trawling the web looking for the best place to find some paint to paint up some plain wooden ikea storage boxes I use as bedside tables. Thinking a nice nautical blue & white would be good, cuprinol or something haha!!

Hey Karen, hope you had that pudding - I definitely think you deserved it, what with the sheds and everything!:)
Hiya Lilt, hope you are well. Had a look at that app - looks really good, but after being back at work today am absolutely shattered, so will have to wait until I am more focused before I get into it.
Back to work today, so slept really badly last night. Always feel like I'm going to be in trouble for something (don't know what!
). DD2 woke with really rosy cheeks today but seemed ok in herself, so I packed her off to nursery. Anyway when I picked her up her face was completely red, (just like a tomato) and she had a rash up her arms and on her belly as well. Honestly, you could probably fry an egg on her face! Have given her some calpol and an ice pop, so will just keep an eye on her. I know there's been a virus going around school but she's her normal grumpy self, so not sure it's that.
No money spent today, so feeling angelic :A. Pay day is 12 days away and no chance of getting out of the overdraft for a couple of months. Will just keep plodding on.
We seem to have outgrown cbeebies, which is a little sad and I do have to vet the CITV and CBBC programmes a lot more carefully now. We still love Mr Maker though. How on earth does he keep his drawers so tidy!:)Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

HB i hope DD isn't ill there are so many bugs going round it's taken a whole month for our family to feel better! Urgh! Well done on the NSD! xx0

Hi DFW321, I really hope she isn't ill, as it doesn't look good having time off after a weeks holiday! She seems okay, so fingers crossed.
Hubby has found that Zapper has good prices for books, but we've not actually got as far as packaging them up yet - by the time we do they will probably be out of print!:rotfl:
Oh, and I made £2.50 on ebay last night - only sold one out of five items. Never mind, for £2.50 I could buy -
1 school dinner
or
6 tins of beans and a loaf of bread
