Well. I'm back from the car booty with the girls. Hubby is still there trying to sell. I think he's doing ok, as we didn't actually have much stuff. I know a car seat has sold, but no takers so far on an old TV and a pram that we found in the loft last night. Hubby had put the pram up, so buyers could see it, and then neither of us could work out how to put it down! We eventually worked out that there was a hidden button near the top, but not without first looking like a couple of wallies.:rotfl:

I have a confession, in that I have also bought quite a lot this morning. Nothing over £1 though and lots for the girls.

    I now have :

    2 Next tops £1 each

    Hubby has :

One long sleeved Next jumper £1

    Girls have :

    2 pairs of leggings (Next)
    1 combat trousers (M&S)
2 pairs of cropped trousers (Next)
    4 tops (Next)
    3 dresses (2 Next and 1 GAP)

Oh, and ahem.... 1 ladybird backpack and 1 furry monkey hat (not sure how they slipped in the pile!:D)

Estimate I have spent about £10 in total although this does not take into account the sweets I ended up buying for the girls - £1 for some melted M and M's would you believe.

Not a bad day at the boot sale today. Hubby made £45. I said we should split it in half, but hubby pointed out that a lot of it was his stuff (DVD's etc.) so I offered to give him £10 back which he refused to take. :D

Had to smile tonight as Hubby was bathing eldest who is six. He said 'I am an evil genius,' to which my DD said, 'Daddy you most definitely are not a genius.' Out of the mouth of babes eh?

Just reading your diary for the first time, this really made me laugh.

    I'll be following your story

Oh my goodness, Karen, I am in awe! They are sooooo beautiful, and I absolutely love the button details! You've made me wish I was talented in some way. :D

I really do think they are too beautiful to eat (and as I am on a diet, that's probably a good thing). I could, however, sit and look at them all day :rotfl:. I bet they went down a storm at the Christening. Hope you had a lovely day. :)

Hey Banwa :) I have a confession ... I have been reading your diary and I love your lists of good and bad things. :D I'm not so good at lists myself, I find myself adding the tiniest things just so I can cross them off really quickly, so inducing a sense of virtuousness that is really not deserved!

What, never been to a car boot? You haven't lived! In a nutshell, you take all your old tat and swap it for someone else's!:rotfl:

  • LOL at the car problems! That proper made me chuckle ;) :rotfl:

Also the 'penny' incident! Kids eh! My daughter somehow got a bit of plastic up her nose last year and had me spend the day in the hospital with her, had to be put to sleep and go into theatre and have it removed  KIDS! :rotfl:

Well done on the boot fair! I never seem to get round to them anymore. We went the other week and our local one is so popular there was a 5 mile traffic jam that only moved when people gave up waiting and turned round, thus leaving a gap in the queue! We gave up too :rotfl:
