Well, what a long week that was!
Now for a weeks holiday with my lovely girlies (oh, and hubby too). It makes a change for us all to be together at once!
A reasonable day today. Girls were good, although we had a minor disagreement over whether DD2 could take her balloon to nursery. According to DD2 'we're allowed to take balloons into nursery, everyone does.' Well, I made sure I stood my ground, as I had visions of chasing said balloon over hill and dale much to the amusement of nursery staff.
Oh, and DD1 nearly had a meltdown at school. There was a list of children on the board who had to miss playtime and someone, (the culprit has yet to be found), had added her name to the bottom of the list in whiteboard pen. She didn't realise till she looked up from her writing and then her face, quite literally, crumpled. Obviously her theatre lessons have paid off, as she began to wail and howl (in true Oscars fashion!). As a result, her name was very quickly removed from the list!
DD1 is at said theatre group tomorrow and I have to give notice that she will be finishing at the end of the summer term. I feel a bit sad about his, but at over £300 a term, I really can't justify it. She will be joining another group which is considerably cheaper in September, but this doesn't include dancing and singing. Having [STRIKE]endured[/STRIKE] enjoyed DD1's singing voice for a considerable time, I can only comment that the world will be a more harmonious place.
Been to A*di's tonight, and also to A**a and M******ns, on the hunt for yellow stickers. The other night was obviously a one off and no bargains were to be had.
Treated ourselves to pizza (shop bought) for tonight, although this is going to kibosh the diet I have been following for 2 weeks. So far I have lost 8lbs, but I am going to have tonight off. Just have to remember to get straight back on it tomorrow.Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

For once the sun is shining so I have spent the morning in the garden digging weeds out of the flowerbed. This has taught me two things -
 1. Weeds have considerably longer roots than any other plant known to man.
 2. Once you dig out the weeds, your flowerbed will look empty.
Managed to get DD2 :Da twinpack of swimming costumes from S****burys for £8 but it also had 25% off - so it worked out to be a good deal.
Hubby's car is not starting . He has tried charging the battery but this has not worked and he is now wandering around muttering to himself about 'sparkplugs'. Now, I don't mind him having a go, but I'm pretty certain he doesn't really know what a sparkplug is . Unfortunately, we were hoping to do a boot sale tomorrow, so this is rather up in the air at the moment. At least we found out before the car was loaded up. Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327 Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

Hubby has just stated that there is a 'possibility' that he has run out of petrol and this may be why his car won't start. For once I am hoping he is right . Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327 . Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

            Evening ladies
HB I am really giggling at your hubby. Hoping that the cars issue is definitely petrol and not something more serious.
Have just been in to tuck DD back under her covers. She travels a lot in her sleep. Every half an hour or so she seems to do a lap of her cot. Sometimes the covers go with her, other times I go in and she is in a bizarre place, bum in the air, face down resting on her fists and snoring, with the covers at the other end of the cot. Unfortunately in this old flat with its single pane sash windows, her bedroom registers a measly 16 degrees right now & will get colder overnight
Lovely to see you're all having a holiday together. I am envious of only that part of a teachers job, holidays. The rest, you can keep!! :rotfl:
Totally right about the weeds no matter how hard you try to get rid of them, there are always a load more there the day after you've dug them all out as well no matter how hard you try to get rid of them, there are always a load more there the day after you've dug them all out as well
Hope you have a lovely bank holiday. We are all off until Weds in my house so hoping to make the most of it!

Well, would you credit it - it turns out cars need petrol to run! Who'd have thought it :rotfl:.
Hiya Lilt, hope you are well. My girlies are very different in how they sleep. DD1 barely moves, but DD2 is a right wriggle bum. I love it when she sleeps flat on her back with her arms up by the side of her head - it remind me of when she was a baby - so cute!
Looks like the car booty is back on for tomorrow, although now we need to find some stuff, as I had assumed the car was 'broken' and we would not be going. I get a bit carried away when I'm looking for things to sell - for some reason I gave away all my PJ's when trying to fill a bag of old clothes for a place that gives you £6 in return for a ton of clothing!Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327

It's a good job I have an internal alarm clock! I woke up at 5.30 am, to find that hubby had fallen asleep on the sofa, surrounded by mountains of car boot stuff, that he had somehow managed to find in the middle of the night! I woke him up, gave him a strong coffee, and sent him on his way.:)
This is the man that once wired his teeny, tiny alarm clock to a pair of 5ft speakers in order that he could make it to work on time. :rotfl:
Some drama in the night -
 DD2 (Wailing) : Daddy, Daddy, I've swallowed a penny.
Daddy : What penny? Where did you get a penny from!?
DD2: It was under my pillow.
Daddy: How do you know you've swallowed it?
 DD2 : Well, it's not there anymore!
Now, there is some debate as to whether or not she has actually swallowed a penny, but the general feeling is that she hasn't. It turns out that the penny was apparently 'from the tooth fairy' in spite of the fact that she has no wobbly teeth whatsoever.
Having said this, have just asked DD2, who is still insisting she did swallow it 'with a drink of water'!Loan 1 11,840 Loan 2 8487 Total 20327
