IMHO the amount of people that use coupons in their stores and post on here about their results is a drop in the ocean compared with the amount of people that shop in their stores..By the looks of it,it doesn't seem to be affecting their profits at all...
I agree with you gruber, Mr T is still making a fortune, despite us lot getting stuff for nought. I actually spend more money in Tesco now - not less - since I started using vouchers to get free toiliteries. I don't shop anywhere else, apart from lidl occasionally. I used to buy all my toiliteries and groceries from Sainsbury's before I stumbled across this forum.0 -
I have to say that I go into Tesco more often now that I know about the coupons and while I am there I always end up browsing odd sections and picking up extra bits, so they are dangling a carrot on the end of a stick for us.
They are tightening up though, cos I only got 2 Quit coupons through the till on over £15 H&B in among my other shopping, so I suspect they may have limited all the coupons to 2 of each kind through the till in 1 go, as its the first time thats happened.
The lad that served me also mentioned that they are only allowed to take 5 different manufacturers coupons "because of all the newspaper ones."So your answer don’t be scared of failure
For the only failure is never to try

I think that stores where a lot of coupons are used are getting stricter but in my store not many people use coupons (apart from the ones that come from clubcard) so we don't really have a problem taking them. Apart from internet ones whch they won't take at all.0

Mr T was still making a fortune in the R&R days but it was still stopped, even though people were doing their other shopping while searching for misprices. I just don't think its good to say things like "I got £150 of shopping for 80p", managers WILL be told to tighten up. Same goes for using coupons that they can't redeem like the morrisons ones, I personally don't think we need to bite the hand that feeds us or it will all come to an end. Just my opinion.0 -
BTW, big thanks to everyone who sent me some so beautiful vouchers, I hope everyone received their H & B vouchers. (had to delete messages as pm box was full so not sure who you all were)
Happy shopping:T0 -
Help
Has anyone bought suncream recently at Tesco. Most of it is half price so not sure how the tills will treat them. There are some at 5 pounds so we could use the 2.5 and 2 quid ones. Any ideas?0 -

i usually bought t's own cotton buds £0.35 because it is cheapest, cotton pad slightly more expensive but are also beauty. i would suppose all cotton bud, wool, roll, pads, balls are beauty not baby, but please correct me if i m wrong.0 -
I agree it's a drop in their ocean of profits - however you could argue that the amount of R+R they were having to refund was a drop in their ocean too. They still decided to ban this and the main reason quoted bt tesco was that people were abusing the system then bragging about how much they got on here and this website definetely was being monitored by senior person from head office...they may be on here now monitoring this thread too...
All I'm asking is that we all omit from our posts the actual amount of stuff we got for free... saying in a post I got £30 worth of clothes for free (or far more) will attract their attention again in the same way it did with R+R
I would like to see any evidence of this please.Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Hi,
Read first post in this thread
Example: Buy 4 x Herbal Essences Shampoo @ £2.78 each. Total before Buy One Get One Free is £11.12, This is when all your coupons will kick in. Now take off the BOGOF. Total to pay is £5.56.
So I understand you buy four shampoos. However, if you choose to buy another brand, like Alberto Balsam shampoo 400 ml for 98p , you can buy 5 x 98p = £4.90. You still buy one more shampoo than the above example. Then , you only have to buy some more toiletries and beauty products to make it up to £10 and use the vouchers...
Is BOGOF always a better way to buy or maybe buying a cheaper product is good, as well.(sometimes they cost less than a half of the bogof's price). I am confussed now.0
