This is a united press article (not sure why Moldova is interested in what happens in Tesco in truth!!!)

I cannot comment on who specifically it was from head office on an open forum - (I'm not sure it's that relevant either in truth) but PM me if you are interested. He was a senior Tesco manager and he was monitoring and occasionally posting about the policy and abuse of it...It would get up your nose if you ran a company and everyone was trying to exploit loopholes to get free stuff woudln't it? We all know that a simple change to the IT system would have a severe effect on vouchers so I'm just asking for a bit of restraint in terms of boasting for the sake of everyone who enjoys using this particular loophole...

I honestly can't understand why they don't change the IT system. I don't want them too but why don't they

The reason you buy things on BOGOF is that the till thinks you have spent the amount of money before discounts kick in. So using the above example the till thinks you have spent £11.12 on herbal essenses. After BOGOF the total is £5.56. You can then use your vouchers - for exaple at the moment you could use £2.50 so beautiful + £2.50 health and beauty + 2 x £1.25 quit + 2 x £1 h&B giving you the shampoo for free and credit towards your other shopping.

    Help
Has anyone bought suncream recently at Tesco. Most of it is half price so not sure how the tills will treat them. There are some at 5 pounds so we could use the 2.5 and 2 quid ones. Any ideas?

hi, i bought the johnsoms kids sun lotion because it's on bogof. it's £9.99 so i had to buy something else to take it over £10, then i used the vouchers for a £20 spend.

i think it's just toiletry though, not healthcare. so they would be £2.50, £1 and £1.25 vouchers.

Mr T was still making a fortune in the R&R days but it was still stopped, even though people were doing their other shopping while searching for misprices. I just don't think its good to say things like "I got £150 of shopping for 80p", :

I don't think it's good to say that either. But how many people are getting 150.00 worth of stuff for 80p? not many I'd say. I'm lucky if I get 50% off my shopping bill, after I've handed over my vouchers. I would never use morrisons vouchers, that is asking for trouble! I know some people do use them, but I really don't agree with that. I think if we are carefull and don't abuse the loophole with vouchers we will probably get away with using them for a long time to come...hopefully!
  • im finding it very easy to make big savings using just tesco's own h&b coupons....points are an added bonus so whats the point in using morrisons vouchers etc....much less stressfull to use vouchers that in my experience are never refused...
