Hi - am not sure if anyone had answered the cotton wool question earlier, but I have successfully purchased the cotton wool face pads that are on BOGOF at the moment with my vouchers for health & beauty/toiletry.

I went out to do my long awaited Perfume purchase today.

First bottle was only available on the Pharmacy Counter. The lady behind the counter immediately pointed out that I could use So Beautiful & Quit pack coupons that they had on the counter, bless her.

She was only able to take 1 of each coupon, so I used
    1 x £2.50 So Beautiful
    1 x £2.50 H&B
    1 x £1.25 Quit
Plus the lady behind the counter gave me a 50 points H&B coupon and took a few odd moc's. So I got a £24 perfume for £16.55.. not quite as good as I had hoped for. :(

    But..

Much more success with the perfume I got from the H&B section though, which I got with a few grocery items.

    2 x £2.50 So Beautiful
    2 x £2.50 H&B
    4 x £1.25 Quit Pack
1 x £1.50 JF coupon [only bought the 98p sachet]
    1 x 60p Soft & Gentle Eden Range
    DM £4.00 Book coupon
Plus a few assorted moc's totalling £3.20 [they only take 5 coupons, aside from Tesco own]
    Result - A £25 perfume for 70p :D

I'm going back for more on Friday.... ;)

    Hi Everyone,

I'm planning on doing my first proper H&B shop tomorrow afternoon and want to check I've worked out the coupons correctly!

    Razor Blades 5.48
    Lynx BOGOF x4 @ 1.88 3.76
    J Frieda Sachet 0.99
    Cod L. Oil BOGOF x4 @ 2.23 4.46
    Other Groceries 13.57
    =======
    28.26

    1x 1.50 off J Frieda
    1x 2.50 off 10 Beauty/Toiletries
    1x 2.00 off 8 H/Care (exp 31/10)
    1x 2.00 off 8 H/Care (exp 17/06)
    2x 1.00 off 4 Toiletries
    2x 1.00 off 4 H/Care
    2x 1.25 off 5 Beauty/Toiletries
    1x 3.00 off 20 Spend Till Spit

    = £17.50 total vouchers

    Will that work?

Am also going to chuck in a few extra points coupons and other MOCs for good measure.;)

However I am absolutly petrified that SA will be a jobsworth and just take 1 coupon or something:eek: , if this happens, what should I do?? Should I just pay for it then get a refund at CS (if so what reason do I give for asking for a refund)?

Any other tips also well appreciated!! Thanks!:D

Johnny I am not the best person when it comes to MOC, however lately I have done really well. Ie shops for 22p, 34p and 73p.

What I do is head for a checkout where the SA is young, or has a Tesco T shirt on as these are usually part time staff and are scan coupon happy. I always make a effort to get chatting with them too.

I always ask can you try these for me please

ALL the checkout staff in my tesco are not allowed to wear the Tesco t shirts any more so if anyone is wearing one then they are multi skilled staff and not actual checkouts. You might have more luck with them as they will probably scan anything!

Mama...have noticed some of the previous t-shirt wearing staff now have *till-uniforms*......any significance to this?

Or are they just till-trained now?

I went to the self-scanners today, bought £10 worth of toiletries - used a £2.50 SB voucher and a £2.50 peach h&b - after bogof that meant my toiletries were free so I didn't see the point in pushing it by handing over extras.

I actually called over the lady from the self-scanners handed her the vouchers and asked her to verify I had bought the products before the vouchers were scanned. I used free anchor vouchers and free muller yoghurt vouchers too and as she said the machine is set to accept 10% in vouchers but as I had bought the items she had to accept them. My last batch of toiletries are going straight to the school fair - I am not on the toiletry stall but will be selling teddy bears for the school.

Yes, I did. It won't work without buying the item as far as I know.. unless anyone else has used it against another deodorant successfully? I left a coupon in with some others the other day and it wouldn't scan.

I like this one, so have been stocking up on it while the coupons are in date.
