Well, while its not the best combination you could buy, I didn't do too bad today. I bought 2 of the half price Nivea anti-cellulite cream, and Eden range deoodrant, 2 x Dove on BOGOF, 2 x 19 toothbrushes and 6 x Berry 10p toothpaste for Xmas shoeboxes which totalled £17.41.
I used 3 x £1.25 Quit, 6 x 40p Colgate, 2 x 70p Palmolive, 1 x H&B £2.50 and a 60p Eden Range. With the BOGOF deducted too this left me with only £4.48 to pay - less than the cost of 1 tube of the Nivea cream.
Plus I needed some Pepcid 2 which are £3.19, but also got 2 x Vitamins which are on BOGOF at £2.85 each. I used 2 x £1 H&B Healthcare and 1 x Quit £2 Healthcare and ended up paying only £2.04 for the item I really wanted.
Not to mention the other £9.09 of mocs I managed to shift, so I have all my H&B stuff free and a little more off the rest of my shopping too.. an over all saving of £22.74, not including BOGOFs and multibuy deals. So your answer don’t be scared of failure

Vellum
I've tried the Straight Ahead JF shampoo and conditioner which help smooth and straighten hair.. both work fine. I've also tried the hairspray, but not sure if I prefer this or the Nickey Clarke one.
To be honest though, its hard to tell how well these straightening shampoos etc work now, cos I bought a Babyliss Beliss hairdryer/straightener in 1 a few weeks ago and it works wonders on my hard to tame hair.So your answer don’t be scared of failure

Hi I just PM'd you !hello:hello: Ipswich is my area too. I thought someone may have nabbed all the leaflets as i have been unable to find any, but maybe they have just not put them out in our local stores. All the sb have gone now i noticed but still loads of quits, i am waiting for some swaps from pts to come through to start my h&b shops, but looks like the postal strike affected us today so will have to wait until tommorrow.0

Oh dear!
I had to nip intp Tescos to spend my bzzagent Activia MOC as they expire today despite only arriving this morning!
I got 2 x £2.58 off any Activia yoghurt.
The 4 packs were on 2 for £2.50 so picked up 2 and a few other bits.
Went through fine at the till, feeling brave I asked if I had to buy the items to use MOC .
"OH YES YOU HAVE TO BUY THE ITEMS" said SA as if I had just asked if I could buy the moon!
Off to the car to think, well the vouchers expire today but I didn't really want 16 yoghurts..............but then again they are FREEEEEEEEEE!
And if i have one every day I will use them up by the sell by date:rolleyes:
So in I went again, more Activia and a couple of other bits, got a lovely friendly SA but when I asked her she didn't know!
Nothing else for it ........off to CS desk to ask............
"OH YES YOU HAVE TO BUY THE ITEMS" said CSA as if I had just asked if I could buy the moon!
I give up!
How come other stores openly have a coupon acceptance policy??
I was going to buy some MOC off ebay but that would be a waste if I can't get rid!
Any Edinburgh Tesco'ers have any luck?
I might try one or 2 and say "oh sorry I didn't mean to give you that one if SA says anything.
Anyone for yoghurt:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
Sorry this is such a long post but I'm SO excited.
I DID IT!!!!!!!!:j :j :j
Took myself off to Tesco this afternoon. Bought myself some ordinary bits of shopping (bread, fruit etc), a few bits on the gardening aisle in the sales (Xmas pressies) then hit the toiletries aisles.
I got 2 x Tesco Blonde shampoo @ £1.77
2 x Lynx shower gel for OH @ £1.82
2 x Palmolive handwash @ £1.82
2 x Tesco Total care toothpaste @ £1.99
ALL on BOGOF
Went on the self service till but the ever so helpful SA in charge must have decided I looked too doddery to be using the high tech stuff (I'm 54 for god's sake, NOT 84!) and stood over me "helping" me to put stuff through and pack etc.
I was absolutely shaking in my shoes when I was getting ready to put the coupons through. Anyway, fortunately she got called away when I was paying. The blooming machine threw a wobbly when I put my first coupon through - asked for authorisation. The nice SA just authorised it no trouble.
I then decided that maybe looking doddery was to my advantage and just said "OH dear, I'm all muddled up with my vouchers now" so she just said to put them through anyway and the system would let me know if I couldn't use them.
As a previous poster kindly warned me there IS a limit to how much you can put through but the SA said not to worry, she would authorise any extra ones I needed. (played dumb about it and she explained that some people tried to scan Sainsbury's vouchers so they had a built in check once a certain number of vouchers were used - shock horror   says I - who would be so terribly cheeky?)
Anyway, I managed to put through
2 x £1.25 quit coupons
2 x £1.00 off wys £4 on H&B
1 x £2.50 off wys £10 on H&B
1 x £0.40 off colgate
AND 2 x 50 extra points
then I got cold feet and thought it was enough!
SO, I ended up getting all my toiletries plus all my gardening gifts for the grand total of £1.58...YIPEE!!! (probably not the best deal going by your standards but good enough for me)
Thank you all for your tips. I need to go and lie down to recover now :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Yes I had more luck.
I went to the Tescos in Nicholson Street this morning and bought 2 x 4pack of Actimel yogurts. I used the self scan and both of the coupons scanned, thus making the other items in my basket cheaper.
The bell did go off but the sales assistant at the scan just put in a code and that was thatTreat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
