I have to say my heart is in my mouth a bit! (terrified of being treated like the other poster who had such trouble at the Irlam store!)
Can I just ask what is probably a really dumb/naive question? Is it possible to just scan the vouchers at the self service till? Or do vouchers have to be put though by staff? (says she, cowardly trying to avoid any possible confrontation with stroppy SA?):o

Bobbykins, personally I prefer self service tills because the cashiers at my local Tesco are generally very anti-coupons and seem to take it personally that a customer is saving a few quid from their groceries! Unfortunately they seemed to have been well trained when it comes to going over coupons with a fine toothed comb but not at awarding green clubcard points .

I take a chance that the self-scan machine will accept the coupons without any hassle but it can be fine one week and the next week they'll have been re-programmed to beep for everything so it's pretty inconsistent.

Don't worry too much about the stroppy SAs. I got caught out a couple of times and yes it was embarrassing but you soon get over it :) I had one who practically ran to my till after seeing me insert a third coupon and said loudly "you can't use another coupon otherwise everyone will be paying for their shopping with coupons." I said to her, "well, that's why I'm using them." :p and I then told her to put everything back as I no longer wanted them! I did my h&b shop at another Tesco near my work place a few days later.
  • I decided to ask at the Pharmacy counter tonight, as that was the last place I saw any H&B leaflets. "Oh, lets see.. do you mean these" says the lady behind the counter, producing 1 from an obviously stashed away pile in the depths under the till.

Long story short.. I got the grand total of 3 sheets! Still, tis better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick..;)

Didn't do quite as well at the till tonight either, as the lad kindly pointed out that you can only have 1 of each coupon on H&B etc.. feigned ignorance as usual and was glad that he hadn't realised this til after he had put through 2 Quits at least. :D

Can't really complain too much anyway, as I still got just over £13 off my shopping and can now try out my half price Nivea Anti-Cellulite Cream, knowing that if it doesn't work, at least it didn't cost me anything.. :rotfl:

I have been sticking rigidly to 3 John frieda (because I love it and it makes me feel rich!) and using £7.50 off in coupons when actual cost is £8.86 after they do the 342 deal and then I had a think about it and realised I could buy any toiletries I wanted, within reason.

You only have to get to £10 and you will always have £7.50 off minimum (if you have all three different sets of coupons and also stick to the professional shampoo ranges) and if you get stuff where the £1 HB works, you will get £9.50 off, plus various others as in the 40p off toothpaste and the 70p off shower gel etc etc.

I am now going to go and compile a list of things I actually want rather than those I have been forced?!? into buying and not those on bogof.

That way I can have some variety on my bathroom shelves instead of John Frieda, and a bit more John Frieda and oh look, theres some more John Frieda too...:rotfl:

lol, ragtime i am like that now, i wrote a list of what the kids use and got a years supply, then the OH's then mine, I'm still going on mine :) Seen some clinique items in a different store so some money off those would be good. I also get stuff that my sister wants and she gives me a pound or something silly for it, so she pays for my vouchers if i buy some on fleabay. I've carbooted a lot of toiletries and with a few weeks to go before my wedding tesco have paid for the lot! So I have slowed down a little and have been doing a few more surveys to earn moc's. It's nice not going to tesco's everyday!!
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there

    Hi :hello:

I have now done a couple of £10 H&B shops no problems ,getting £1.?? off my other shopping each time:T

Now I want to try to add some MOC (yeh I got the lingo :rotfl: )

I have some Heinz weight watchers ones I printed from Pigsback and some Activa originals.

Can I just use one of each per shop?

Has anyone tried the "print your own" Heinz ones ?

Can anyone tell me if they have seen h&b in the Glasgow area. Can't find any anywhere. Feel the urge to return to Mr T as have not been for ABOUT 6 WEEKS!!!

There were some at St Rollox last week I believe. Didn't get them myself but someone else posted they had seen them. Also seem to remember them saying Silverburn and Cumbernauld DIDN'T have them.
