Well like I said, I personally would not have chose them for £170, they are overpriced. However, they were a gift and I can't say I don't want them / get rid of them.
I have an iPhone and I am not nearly as concerned about that being nicked, I guess because the headphones are on my head on full display it makes me more concerned.
I have tried them out and they are quite good. They are not "huge" either, they are very good for using on public transport as they block out alot of background noise. However, I am very aware that people know how much they are worth and jealous idiots will want to steal them.
I also know alot of people really don't like Beats so please can we keep this on topic and not turn it into an Anti Beats thread please?
I would say why not sell them and buy a nice pair of in ears (that are difficult to value in the street) but eBay won't let people sell beats because of the amount of fakes on there (a friend of mine couldn't shift his...)0 -
Where in his post does it say he drives with them on? he could be close enough to walk or cycle home.
He specifically stated walking out of the office!
And I second the idea of headphones at work, it allows me to concentrate on what I am doing and not get distracted or rise to it when the guy who sits opposite me starts ranting about something.0 -
Because they enjoy listening to music?
I saw one the other day come close to enjoying a trip through someones windscreen...Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
My nan bought them, says it all really.the_r_sole wrote: »so you'd rather worry about getting mugged to avoid upsetting someone? - mine was a genuine suggestion btw, there are much better headphones around for that money, beats headphones (to me anyway) are designed for people deliberately wanting to show how expensive their headphones are rather than thinking about sound quality, but it's up to you
I think your above post was a little harsh to be honest. To be fair if someone has bought you an expensive gift you have no control over that. The same as if someone has bought you a gift from the 99p shop!.
Redblue, you sound young if you don't mind me saying:)
Your nan was kind enough to buy you a nice gift, which obviously unbeknown to her she would not know the implications that may rise out of owning such an expensive gift.
What would anyone do if your mum,dad or granddad bought you an expensive car or piece of jewellery? You accept out of kindness which any normal person would do.
We all have to live in a society where the bad are unfortunately walking around the streets. And sadly crime is rife all over the place. Not just mugging.
But why should she or anyone have to feel like this? I can totally understand where Redblue is coming from. Why should she have to change her lifestyle just because that would make her less of a target?
Stick to your guns Redblue!0 -
These headphones are more of a fashion statement, so you have people with little in savings spending a lot of money to "make a statement".
If someone was wearing Denon, Ultrasone, or Grado, then they may need to be concerned.0 -
If it keeps the music inside their head instead of leaking out on public transport than they can only be a good thing.
Although to get the full benefit of a pair of high-end headphones you probably need to have the audio files in a high bit-rate for lossy (320kbps) or lossless.0 -
Beats are low-end meretricious junk with a high price tag.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.
Lou Reed The Last Shot0 -
Come on people, the OP clearly didn't choose these headphones, and is just trying to find the best way to not offend the person who bought them while maintaining their personal safety.
Being told that their headphones are crap doesn't really help does it?0
