They scream "Mug" at least as much as "Mug Me!" ;-)

Can you sell them, even at a chunky loss, and get something a bit better sound-wise but which won't draw idiots attention

As I have already said, I know lots of people don't rate them but I am not asking for opinions on that. No, I can't sell them - they were a gift and the person who gave them to me will know if I don't have them anymore.

Is this a genuine post ?
If you're really worried about something, just don't do it.
If you think wearing the headphones will encourage someone to mug you ......... Don't wear them.

If I didn't do things that worried me, I probably wouldn't do that much to be fair.

Anyway, I am just not going to wear them outside until the stupid hype around them dies down. At the end of the day, I didnt pay for them, I didn't choose them but they are headphones and serve the purpose required - its just that unfortunately they are "fashionable" and a target for scum.

Gosh so it's not just the headphone thing, you're a born worrier. Try and learn to calm down and accept life as it comes. It's rarely as bad as you image.

Thanks, that is pretty good advice.
  • Easy to spot being worn, easily stolen, easily hidden, easily sold on to someone in a pub...

Yes, they certainly scream mug me (as well as being overpriced, bass-heavy headphones).

You would be far more sensible/safe selling them, then buying these for £80 - http://www.whathifi.com/review/akg-k451. Personally i've got a pair of these that cost £30 - http://www.whathifi.com/review/panasonic-rp-htx7

One of my collegues compared his beats headphones to mine and admitted mine sounded better.

Those £80 headphones are far more discrete and less branded

Only you can judge if you feel you would be mugged for wearing them, all depends on where you live and depends on you yourself.

Yes they are seriously overpriced headphones for what they are, only thing they say is person who bought them has no idea about them.
