Easy to spot being worn, easily stolen, easily hidden, easily sold on to someone in a pub...

Yes, they certainly scream mug me (as well as being overpriced, bass-heavy headphones).

You would be far more sensible/safe selling them, then buying these for £80 - http://www.whathifi.com/review/akg-k451. Personally i've got a pair of these that cost £30 - http://www.whathifi.com/review/panasonic-rp-htx7

One of my collegues compared his beats headphones to mine and admitted mine sounded better.

Those £80 headphones are far more discrete and less branded

ooher knew should have kept the headphones I had in rhe 70's those panasonic ones exactly the same ...........that aside yes they are making you a target for such, and given the over ear design which I personally prefer to in ear, they block out other sounds such as cars heading towards you - even seen some daft cyclist wearing them then again he had no lights or hi vis clothing at night either
I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.

As I have already said, I know lots of people don't rate them but I am not asking for opinions on that. No, I can't sell them - they were a gift and the person who gave them to me will know if I don't have them anymore.

so you'd rather worry about getting mugged to avoid upsetting someone? - mine was a genuine suggestion btw, there are much better headphones around for that money, beats headphones (to me anyway) are designed for people deliberately wanting to show how expensive their headphones are rather than thinking about sound quality, but it's up to you

Am I the only person who thinks people wearing these big headphones walking down the street look really stupid!!

I have fully enclosed headphones and go to a fro work wearing them.

    1. I like music
    2. I don't annoy anyone close to me
    3. In the last few months they have kept my ears warm
    5. When I leave work and walk out of the office I can't here anyone shouting for me to come back because "there is an issue"

....and when you drive down the road, you can't hear the 44 tonne articulated lorry that's about to flatten your cherished motor with you inside.

wearing headphones whilst driving is as dangerous (if not more so) as using a mobile phone whilst driving and should be a specific offence.
How do I add a signature?

Where in his post does it say he drives with them on? he could be close enough to walk or cycle home.

I don't know why anyone would choose to wear Beats inside or out.

    Not for sound quality, anyway.

I do not understand the current trend to walk around looking like a cyberman with huge headphones stuck on your head. Further, why is it that people need to have music blaring down their earholes at every turn?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Nothing wrong with walking around whilst listening to music - just use iems that don't isolate completely.
