Checked the system and that BIN is not set either so looks like MasterCard has not provided the info yet

So this Argos card works exactly the same as the Argos Additions card, when you purchase something you have 3 months to pay for it, you have to make a minimum pament,and if you don't pay the balance in full then you start paying interest on your purchase

So after a year on the street the argos master card cannot do bt's away from them, but you can do one to them. strage innit or devious. thanks for trying and will you be trying again in the future coz people on here need to know...!!!!

why do you think it,s not setup for balance transfers m8, also do you think argos are aware of it not being possible??

The system needs to be defined and set with the BIN number and I think associated bank account details.

The BIN you provided is not setup so when you put the account number in it would be classed as invalid.

All card providers will work in the same manner as that is how most systems are set and defined as.

As to whether Argos know; good question. Not sure

Good info m8, i am awaiting a reply from Argos about this problem- but they fobbed me off 1st time and i told them that. so this query should get results as i,m asking for a higher being to be put on the phone. i paid my balance of with debit card but if you didnt have any spare funds you would have a fair bit of interest added to your account..

Exactly - at the end of the day if its a credit card I can see no reason that you cannot do a BT to it. Unless they have an agreement with MasterCard which is doubtful.

Maybe a word to the FO and see what they say.

How about if you ask the credit card company you want to transfer the balance to for a credit card cheque? Surely you can do that?

You probably could but CC cheques are using charged at cash rate so high interest!
