Looks like an excellent deal , who is Argo's card run by and which CRA do they use?

Here,s something else to be aware of . if you spend on the Argos card and decide to bt to another card you stumped as it seems that other credit card companys don't have the argos 16 digit numbers in their system therefore wont accept a BT. Argos won't help you either because they say it,s the fault of other credit card companys not them.

Think you're confusing Argos Mastercard (this new thing) to the old Argos Card (store card).

Can't see why - most companies use the BIN as that is what defines a card. The BIN is the first 6 digits of the card number and this is predetermined by MasterCard who will issue out to all MasterCard card issuers.

Well RBS issued card and GE Money issued card will not accept Argos' card number both said get in touch with Argos- Argos say it,s because their system is not up to date/ different system to theirs. I am talking from personal experience as off last week...

Do you only get the interest free period if you pay off your balance in full?
    E.g.
    Month 1 purchases £1000 Repayment £30 (3% minimum)
    Month 2 purchases £1000 Repayment £59.10 (3% minimum)
    Month 3 purchases £1000 Repayment £1000

So you've paid off your month 1 purchases before they started attracting interest, but you haven't paid off your statement in full. Will you then get charged interest on your balance?

I can see this could be worth getting to buy those one off larger purchases (such as a holiday) without having to apply for another 0% card if yours has run out of it's introductory offer.

    I might apply.

A cashback card is still better for day to day expenses such as petrol imho.
    Best Regards,

No. It's the 'balance' of the statement before the present one that has to be paid in full to escape interest. I assume that if you open the account with a direct debit to collect the 'full' balance then it won't take payment for month 1's purchases until just before statement 3 - thus there will be no collection just before statement 2 (If that makes sense) Changing from 'full' to 'minimum' services no purpose here.
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam
