  • Not good news in the post today,Argos have past us on to MOORCROFT.Even though they agreed to it.Now they have sold the debt to Moorcroft who are demanding full amount. The letter head said it was from their COURT DIVISON,so it looks like we are going to court soon  .
Dont they just print stuff like that to try and scare you in to paying/calling them? I guess if most people had a letter like that they would call to find out what its all about, and then get hassled on the phone to pay.

Sorry to hear about your motor :(

They do you just send them what you sent Argos and it will be fine, same routine as with any DCA they have to look like they mean business!

Well I personally set up an emergency ISA it was with Yorkshire Building society and you can pay as little as £10 in a month, I thought an ISA would gain interest and you can't touch it too easily to pinch from it.

But we used to save £60 a month which was in our budget for servicing, MOT and tax.

Sorry the ISA is emergency of all emergencies, the car budget is only a "was" because we now have a company car we would still be doing it otherwise.

    hi all
    hope everyone okay.
Weemac in answer to your question i am finding it difficult about unexpected charges, we are on month 4 of dmp in september, and during that time our car exhaust has gone, i waited over a week until pay day and did not use the car to pay for it. We have so much in our budget for car and tax etc but when it crops up quickly and the dmp is new it is hard.
Also i have been without a working oven for 3 weeks the fan and element i think have gone not sure what to do about it really as looking at about £140.00 for cheap one, i have been managing with slow cooker/microwave hob and grill.
My dishwasher went which is not essential and i will wait for that to be repaired that is last on the list. All this has a happened since we started the dmp. We have mot next month and road tax so will have to cut back for that and also school uniforms.
I think at first it is hard getting use to budget and cccs said that if too hard to contact them and let them know at any time. I think it must get better with time. Anybody who is further down the line with dmp please offer me some hope!!!(lol)
    take care all
    bye for now.
