Handy hint for anyone who travels long distances, I travelled to Newcastle today to do a pizza shop MS and a few others as well as visit family, on the train back I got on the GNER train to Doncaster and changed for sheffield. I looked at the Wifi and it costs anything from 3 - 10 quid for it, I paid £15 for a First Class upgrade and got FREE wifi, coffee and snacks... well worth it and by time I got home there was loads of time on my hands as I completed all my paperwork... Great idea, will probably travel by GNER more often.

Plus there are many rail "Rovers" available, I got one for £51.40 and that covers me from Sheffield to Berwick upon tweed via doncaster or leeds and carlisle via newcastle or leeds. massive map and for that price, its a bargain! it costs less than 2 tickets and its valid for a week!!! (Map of validity below)

Sorry if this isnt applicable to you but it may be helpful to someone...

Hi everyone, I have spent the last few days registering with all the companies listed on the first post, trawling through all the questionnaires, quizzes, tests etc, was time consuming but hopefully will be worth it if iIcan earn a few extra pennies (every little helps!)Anyway I have got an assignment lined up next Sat - when do I need to inform the Inland Revenue of my self employed status? And what records do I need to keep? Also, is there a list anywhere of all the 'expenses' I can claim? I think I read somewhere about 6p per page printed? Is that right? Many Thanks

The new Grassroots site is up - looks very nice and much simpler to bag assignments. You need to have a password sent to you to first log-in so will need to wait for their mail, otherwise I'd put up details.

Edit: And you need to be very quick - just went back to look at the other one of two that were in my area and it had already gone!
  • i have had the email with my password but when i log on it wont let me. its saying incorrect details. anyone else having this? it cant be wrong details a using email address they sent email to and password they sent in email???!!!
