Hi andi!:hello:
quote=andipandi;Good evening to everyone,
hope you all enjoying the weekend thus far,
Karrie
yes indeed the charity shop is good for me ,it can be hilarious at times what with all the unusual types many of whom i end up getting indepth with offering all sorts of opinions and mostly send them away laughing with me (not at me i hope!). so it went well, people tell me i'm a dork for working for nothing and giving my time but generally i love it.
I think that's great hun because you get some light relief too. It's a shame when people confuse kindness with dorkiness.
It's lovely what a difference a friendly smile or a few kind words can make - especially when maybe they're the only ones people get. Methinks you'll have to become the charity's recruitment model.;) :T

well i don't have a full time job as such,my field of work as it is(or was) is broad spectrum building trade, refurb work mainly which is all about problem solving.
Now we're moving into time and resource management territory guys. You're guaranteed an ulcer by the time you're 40!:D But when projects come out well, there's a real sense of pride.
You're in a field that's always in demand hun, which is good, and you're balancing that with helping out others.:T
alcohol is a tricky subject because i love it and hate it,i did spend many years off my head on the stuff ie 10 pints beer with chasers plus bottle of spirits a day..crazy s**t i know, inside i wanted to die,but i'm still here new and improved! don't touch top shelf or wine these days but i am still a heavy drinker by most standards....watch this space.
Thanks for sharing hun. Sorry for prying - feel free to smack my muzzle if it gets where it's not supposed to.:silenced:Some people don't have any insight into their problems which makes it so much harder for them. It sounds like you're taking control for the most part hun, so good luck to you.:T
There's an alcohol thread on the health board just in case you don't know about it. There's a good guy called Beer who started it off and who visits over here from time to time. Sometimes depression seeks a harbour anywhere it can find one.
Depression can cause havoc but i accept my depression, its there and i deal with it by looking it in the eye and mostly it don't kick my bottom like it used to.
Imho, sometimes it's not so much about fighting depression, it's also about recognizing it, accepting it and controlling it. We can make life very complicated and stressful by constantly battling ourselves when sometimes it's ok to 'give in' to a good cry or whatever helps as long as it's safe.;)
We'll make ourselves worse if we're constantly trying to battle to understand, cure, fight, achieve. Every now and then, you just have to stand still, take a really deep breath and take some time out to regroup.
Again andi, you seem to be very at ease with your situation and you're finding things that work for you. Best medicine in the world, that is.;)
About my son well i think at the mo he has other stuff to deal with like my daughters do cos their nan died yesterday and i know their mum will be in bits
and despite our history(ex and i) i cannot dislike her(anymore).
I'm sorry for their and your loss andi.:o
It sounds like you've come to turns with the past, whatever it was, which is better for you all.;) I'm sure you'll offer all the support they might need.
not sure i am a natural survivor but i am a survivor and for the last year or so i have felt i am living in the here and now, not in the past.
I think it's because you express yourself well and the way you express yourself too. You're achieving big things in a relatively short amount of time hun and I hope you'll go from strength to strength.
right i`m off to watch telly shortly(which is rare for me)2 programmes i watch are Dr Who and Holby Blue( yes i confess my sins!)
Dr.Who? The daleks terrified me as a child!
And have you seen those napsack scarecrows with the stitched up faces in these last 2 episodes?!Still watched it though!:D
Have a great weekend andi. Take care.
Much Love,
Tiff xxx"If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought." ~ by Peace Pilgrim.***'You just got Tiffed!'***0 -
evenin all
Nothing much new to report, cept the flippin postman put a non-delivery card thru the door when i was sat 10 feet away so i caught him n he didn't even have the parcel on him
Then the bloke who was sposed to come and install my new bedroom furniture didn't turn up, didn't answer his phone and didn't call me which p'ed me off no end  So I burst into tears when it was clear he wasn't coming so b/f took pity on me and offered to do it  much shouting and swearing later.. it's done
My foot is so puffed up I can't get a shoe on it, even just a flip-flop type ting and it's killing too.. my own fault for not resting it enuff I spose
Oher than that, all is fine here, my son has left home cos I'm such a s**t mother (according to him) and daughter is at my mums.
Off for a bath now methinks, see you all soon, big huggs xxxxxxx☆ §ügÅr cØÅTëÐ pØï§Øn ☆

What is the Tourism Trophy?
I hope you had a good night
.
Hi Rbk
How are you doing? You been in my thoughts recently so im hopin you safe sound and ok, you precious thing.
Yeah, the charity work was hard, but rewarding
The Tourism Trophy ......is The Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) Race is a motorcycle racing event held on the Isle of Man since 1907. The race is run on public roads closed for racing. There are thousands upon thousands of people from all over the world that come here to see people race. The island is known as the road racing capital of the world. Basically madness hun. I was out in town today and the crowds are massive, lots going on and chaos lol. It is a very dangerous sport tho, and this time altho is good for some its hard for me as i lost a best friend 4 years ago when he crashed and his bike landed on top of him.
Yeah, i had a good night, dizzy water got to rosie, little too much :rotfl:
Hows work going hun?
Much love

Hi rose!:hello:
How are you angel? Sounds like you're coping really well hun!:T
quote=rose07
Heya, just poppin by...
I had my psychiatrist appointment today, he didnt listen, he didnt help, and said everythin wrong, lol, so the usual:rolleyes:
This is a tough cookie hun for a lot of people.
Sometimes only the professionals can really see the advances we make.
Sometimes we are too ill or confused by their gobbledy-gook to understand them clearly.
Sometimes it's hard to say or understand when you've only got a 10 minute session or however long it might be.
The choices here are:
- 1. Ask for another appointment and discuss it with him.
- 2. Talk to your cpn or social worker about how you feel.
I think it's important for you to do either of these things angel to help resolve your uneasiness. If you don't understand his viewpoint, it won't help you will it?
You can contact your local mental health advocate and ask them to attend sessions with you or as a last resort, you may ask for a different dr, which is allowed under certain circumstances if there are good reasons.
Sometimes it can help to have someone else go in with you in case you misinterpret something or forget something the dr says and then that person can and you cantalk about how the appointment went - it can be good to have another perspective.;)
im in a rush, going out tonight, (night out with the lads), lol, just want you all to know that ya thought of, so keep safe and keep going
You stay safe too young lady - and have a great time too!
Thinking of you hun.
Much Love,
Tiff xxx
Hi Tiff hun
How are you?
Im doing ok hun, farr to busy tho
My psychiatrist is ok, but its the locumm i seen, the 1st ime i seen him, he gave me wrong tablets, had the attitude that everyhings rosie, and if you dont wanna be depressed then dont be, and i just not soo sure he right.
I dont have a cpn or social worker, coz they messed that up too, lol.
I have a half attitude atm tho, that its me thats gonna do this, its not professionals that are gonna do it, its me.
I hate his viewpoint, each time i see him, i know what to expect, and he seems to ask the wrong questions, and whe i say something, he has a go at me for not tellin him before     , !!!!in things lol
I like my councellor, i will talk to her bout cpn and that, see if she can get things moving.
Thinking of you too hun
hope you takin care of the Tiff

rose07, Your psychiatrist sounds pretty similar to mine. Honestly I'm in there for no more than 10 minutes. It's such a waste of time, especially as I have to take time off work to attend the appointments. All she says is you look much better than you did back in Feb. I'm thinking of course I do I'm wearing normal clothes instead of pyjamas! She's sitting there all smiley and happy and saying you've got so much to look forward to blah blah blah try to be less negative about things. They really don't get it. I got more support from the other patients in the psychiatric hospital than I do from so-called professionals. At least they understand. You must have felt that too hun?
Oh when do you get to see your normal psychiatrist instead of the locum?
:rotfl: sounds like you had a fun night hunI hope you enjoyed yourself.
What charity work are you doing this morning? I hope it goes well.
Hi again hun
Lol thats exactly what mine says, 'oh your a lot better than last time' , well course i do,.
Yeah, i totally agree with you hun, when i was in hospital, i built up a nice family, had a mum, sister, brother, and uncle. We would spend our time with each other, and you learnt and realised soo much by talking to one another than talking to the professionals, they just get me confuzzled lol
I dont know when i get to see my normal psychiatrist, havent seen him since january, pretty bad really, as its not helping me seeing the locumm.
hope you doing ok hun x
much love hun
