I have a charges claim with LLoyds TSB, i spoke to there customer support team as they sent me a letter saying after the initial investigation i am in financial diffculty so there going to get in touch within a week, i took it upon myself to call them to see exactly what was going to happen within a week and was told that i would under no circumstances get my money back at this point and that lloyds have not paid out any charges this year at all because there on hold. So how come people are claiming they have been paid? or have lloyds just lied to me?

Don't believe it!
I have a claim for £4980 with LloydsTSB. I have not been told this, as I told one of the bank employees on the phone that they are wasting their time with me unless they post it too me in writing first. I've been told many 'stories' which seem to vary massively according to whichever bank telephone operator I am speaking to at the time!
I'm not far off going to court. As far as I'm concerned, if it's not in writing it didn't happen.;)0 -
I was just a bit confused as they sent me a letter telling me i was in financial difficulty then the woman said i wasnt gonna get anything back and noone else had. She said on the phone if your in financial difficulty someone in our collections team will be getting in touch with you to help make a payment plan with ubut as i see u already have one that wont be happening...so why send me that letter in the first place saying there were going to help me then say they weren't. But some people have said after recieveing a letter like this they have had 750 in their account in exactly a week. Well my week is tommorow. im really annoyed and confused by it

I phoned LloydsTSB and asked for (and received) a list of all the charges against my account.
What they sent included overdraft interest, account charges, overdraft excess fees, unpaid direct debits and unplanned overdraft fees.
I'm not sure what I can claim back from them. I think the excess fees and unplanned overdraft fees are a given (and stand at £1882) but what about the unpaid direct debits? Can these be claimed back (£787)?
Also how good are the banks at repaying now that there is a pause in proceedings? I believe that they are supposed to deal with hardship cases regardless...
cheers
