  • Hi Kid where did you find out about the Airdrie court and what they are doing about charges, i tried edinburgh sheriffs and the guy didnt have a clue.. is there somewhere on the courts website where i can find this information?

I think the reality is probably a lot more complex than I put it, but my friend has been back & forth at Airdrie and it all seems to hang on her charges going through. She basically went along initially to get her charges and found a team of lawyers against her who have been stalling & getting the case postponed. She's due back in a matter of weeks and thinks it'll be resolved then. I'm not great at explaining these things cos I dont really understand the legal ins & outs to be honest. I'd ask her to post about it, but I don't think she will tbh, she's not a fan:rolleyes: What I do know is that Airdrie are still accepting claims, so I've decided to set up an account elsewhere and go through the Airdrie Sheriff Court. Possibly you could call & see how the land lies? i think they've been helpful to my OH - who I will ask to post with a much more informative post than this later :)
  • I just spoke to the FSO about my current claim which is on hold, asking about proceeding due to financial difficulties. They said that I need to go through the whole process again but rather than reclaiming my bank charged I will be taking action against them for putting me in financial difficulties!?!?!? Is this the case and if so does anyone have any template letters I can use? Or is there a way of progressing my outstanding claim?

I agree.. if the test case does go in favour of the OFT, this is probably going to make so much of a difference to all of us here that have put in claims for our charges back. I'm keeping everything crossed..
  • Hi,Does anyone know if you can claim back charges from accounts that have already been closed?

Why are the Posts about the case being lost by the banks being removed?

Probably because its not over yet, and there will be legal reasons.
  • hi all after reading that the big case is over

i find myself confused as to what to do now,
i went throught all the procedures last may with my bank & applyed to take them to court & it was put on stay,
so i ring my bank this morning & they told me their will be other hearings & i have to wait till they get in touch with me which might be a few months ??
so i rung my court & they told me to either wait till my bank contacts me or write a letter to them to lift the stay now & carry on the court case my self, to reclaim,
so what should i be doing
    HELP PLEASE:confused:
