Reclaim Unfair Bank Charges article discussion Part II

I have gone through the FOS for my credit card charges which total £600.00(this includes interest) Citicards have offered £329.00 and state that this is a refund of all charges and interest. What should I do? Should I accept this or refuse?, I am bothered that if I refuse I may only get the difference between £12.00 and each charge which would be even less. Am I entitled to the whole amount and is it worth fighting further?
Thanks for any advise

I'm about the use the template letter for bank charges on behalf of my mum, but as well as those charges stated in the letter, she's also been charged £10 or summat a time for each letter that A&L have sent her reminding her she owes money! They refused to close her account until eventually she stopped paying them until they did. Then they sent her a letter every month stating the same "pay up in 10 days or we'll take you to court". Charging £10 a time.
Presumably I should just add "including any charges for letters sent" to the template letter, but was wondering if anybody had done this themselves, and if so, what have you written?

hi
Does any body know if the oft is including business accounts or is it just personal accounts that are affected.

I,m about to use the template letter requesting details of charges on my account with NatWest. Should I post it to the branch where I have my account? Sorry if this has been answered previously. Many thanks.0

I changed my bank account to send my statements electronically as opposed to through the post about three years ago .
Due to the fact they used to charge me £30 to send me a charge notification with less than two sentences on it am i not saving them at least that every time they dont need to send me a couple of pages full of info.
If charges are right then i must be compensated for saving the bank so much extra work :rolleyes::rolleyes:
Just a thought for the defence

HI,
It says that the test case for bank charges started on the 18th Jan 08, and can last 7-10 days. This time has now passed. Does anything know what has happened since then?
Because I have sent all relevent letters to reclaim my charges back but is on hold until the test case finishes.

Hi
I havent heard any news and am waiting too.
Another question, does anybody know if I change my account (to get a better deal) does this affect my claim if the account is closed?
Thanks.0 -
We were lucky enough to have all charges £2800 refunded from HSBC but not the £800 in interest. Better than nothing we thought.
Just wondering as i can't seem to find any articles about it, but can you reclaim charges from your store card0 -
Hi
I claimed and won my charges back from the halifax in may 2007. Since then i have been charged another £500 in charges but i am on income support. I wrote asking them to refund these charges but they said i signed a form saying i wouldnt claim any more charges. I thought i could claim again as they are taking my income support and child tax credits each time. Help
