It could be you will be hear from the bank's solicitor and/or the court giving you the bank's defence and they will tell you what they require next.0

I don't think the HBOS knows if it is coming or going!! I received my statements on 17/04/2007 and sent in my letter requesting refund on 19/04/2007. This letter was acknowledged on 24/4/2007 advising that it was being investigated blah, blah, blah. I today received another letter from HBOS advising me that my SAR letter had been received and my statements were on order and would be with me shortly!!!
I contacted the cust. relations to ask what was going on, and was advised that they had had so many calls, asking where statements were, that they had now decided to send out acknowledgment letters to SAR requests. As there had been such a backload of work, this was probably them replying to my SAR. What a waste of time and paperwork. Surely all the info should be in their system, whenever a sort code and acc. no. is typed in. Any way I asked for an update on my request for refund and was told that they were still investigating it(surprise surprise) and would be in touch within a couple of weeks, certainly no later than 18th June. I accepted this as living in Scotland I am going through the FOS, and after doing a bit of counting, noted that this was 1 day short of the 8 weeks allowed by the FOS, as suspected. Oh well just another 5 weeks to go!!!

Hi,
Help!
New to all this and naively imagined it would be a doddle. How wrong! Having read some of the posts on this thread it would seem the banks are filing defences...I've just received a defence from my wonderful bank (RBS).
I expect to spend many hours trawling the site for ideas so that I can be armed to the teeth, but has anyone else gone actually seen the process through (from defence to resolution) with RBS? Would be great to pick up tips.
Sooo mad I didn't sort this out sooner.
And what's going on with the bank wining that case?!?!?!
Thanks!0 -

Nat West have just filed a defence even though they sent letter making offer AFTER we had file MCOL. Had the acknowledgment though so here we go.
Question - I keep hearing on various posts that you must make sure the paperwork if correct if you go to court, and referrals to the "court bundle". What is the "court bundle" and what does it consist of?
Have looked on this site but can't for the life of me find it, also heard reference to finding it on Consumer Action site, but still I haven't come across it. Any help would be appreciated.0 -
Have just searched again and found post by Ezmerelda 20.3.07. This was her checklist I believe - looks very thorough, but my goodness, its like war and peace, but I suppose the more ammo you have the better. Looks like I have some homework to do!0
