    Heeeelp PLEASE!
I've been awarded judgement by default against Solution Finance, however they're denying all knowledge of the judgement. Does it matter that i used the registered office address for the courts, i couldn't use the address on my statement as it was a PO Box address.

If the claim is still valid, can i now send in the bailiffs?

  • Hi, i have read the updated articles referring to reclaiming bank charges and the OFT test case. About 3 weeks ago i wrote to my bank (nationwide) asking for a list of charges. I have not heard anything. What should i do now given the recent news ('on hold - due to the OFT test case)? If i hear back with a list of my charges should i continue with my claim? Or shall i wait no longer and put in a claim from my own rough estimations / statements? Alternatively - should i just leave it now until next year?

    Hi,

you say on your post you asked for a list of charges,

If you follow martins guide it explains his way to claim,
I followed it after asking my bank for 6 years backdated statements,
I then used the interest calculator off this site and inputted dates and charges, printed that of,
Then i used the template letter off this site and enclosed the calculations list sent it off and waited for response.

It might be worth looking at the templates they might help you.

    Good luck

    Hi

Claimed £1338 against Natwest plus interest. Usual procedures and letters sent and received. Natwest offered £1338 (no interest). I ignored the offer and went the MCOL route. Claim was defended and Cobbetts instructed by Natwest. Letter from Court now received putting a hold on proceedings owing to the test case.

Received letter from Natwest this morning saying their offer of £1338 still stands. I have sent it back accepting the offer. Hope I'm doing the right thing?

I'd say you were lucky as the bank would not have paid interest, this is awarded by the courts so you turned down a full offer of your claim to take it to court and this action the judge may well have taken a dim view of.

The banks have 40 days to provide the information/statements so you need to give them this time to send it. Don't go estimating your charges but follow the step by step guide in Martin's article, use the Reclaim Help Thread for all information you need and have a read of Martin's Emergency Guide here...

  • Hi don't know if any one can help. The bank had untill 4.00 yesterday to enter a defence. I rang the courts this morning and no defence has been entered. They told me I have won and need to make a request for judgement. Do you think I will get my money or can the courts refuse to listen untill after the test case.
  • One more question....

Do i phone the court to tell them that they have settled and to cancel the claim or am i best off waiting for the dollar to transfer into my bank?

Just wanted to ask a quick question to anyone that may be able to help please!! Successfully reclaimed bank charges from Halifax earlier this year and their acceptance of offer letter stated all future charges would stand. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, have received a large amount of charges since - can i reclaim with the same bank for a second time??
Would appreciate any help from anyone please as getting the cash back would be a huge help.
    Thanks
