If you have a direct debit/so going out with either natwest or barclays(confirmed) and as long as you phone the bank up when it is due out and ask them to recall it before 3pm you will not be charged for it. Trust me on this it is a insider thing i have discovered.ONLY COPY WHAT I AM DOING IF YOU ARE 100% SURE AND YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE END RESULT MAY BE. Well today is a great day in the silkyboy house.ive just received a letter from the halifax saying that they will repay my entire claim into my account in the next 5 working days!the deadline for them to enter a defence was thurs 24th may so was a little surprised to receive it today.the whole process took just 8 weeks from start to finish.was a little bit worried when i heard about the Lloyds case this week but martin soon gave me the confidence to feel positive again.Martin lewis you are an absolute legend and me and my wife and family cannot thankyou enough(and of course everybody else who gives such wonderful advice on this site). To anybody reading this message i would say keep going, use ALL the advice given and keep believing because you WILL be successful cos the banks are panicking and dont want to go to court.
I'll continue to log on to this site to try and help anybody who needs it but for now; GET IN THERE YOU BEAUTY!!!
P.S my claim was for £8,459 plus £250 court costs and the whole lot has been reclaimed.

the tsb ruling is not all that it is hyped upto be. As it has not set a precident. Probably means that the person who issued the claim did something wrong somewhere or the judge did not know what he was talking about.ONLY COPY WHAT I AM DOING IF YOU ARE 100% SURE AND YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE END RESULT MAY BE. Hello there
hope someone can help with this one :-)
i am currently taking on Barclays...my hubbies account....they have acknowledged receipt of the court notice..and so now they have 10 days left to answer and decide to take it to court...now to add to complications...My hubby and i have just found out that we will be moving to germany (we are being posted as he is a squaddie)-we have been told that it will be in the middle of August..and before that we are away for 2 weeks on our 1st ever holiday..typical timing ehh!!if they do decide to take it to court i dont imagine it will be before either of those dates..if it is for once we are away in germany... and we have to come back ..if we win are we allowed to add the cost of travel to our claim??? many thanks in advance...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Hi there Edinburghlass
I have just scrolled through but cant see anything relating to travelling expenses...It wouldnt have crossed my mind if it simply meant a car journey... but driving across germany and holland to get the hook of holland ferry and then travelling to where ever the court will be in the uk..at the moment we are in suffolk so i guess it will be ipswich, but the ferry docks in Hull so we are looking at 3-4 hrs by car too:-!! and thats assuming my hubby being able to book the time off work...not easy when your a squadie :-)...
I cant think where else to look.. im hoping its not going to be an issue..we live in hope of barclays just settling...but i wont count on it - lol-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Sorry I was answering someone else. You could try claiming expenses but I doubt they would pay for out of the country expenses as it is you who is taking the bank to court.0
