Total charges £1607<O:p< font O:p<>

My first letter to the bank was on 1st March 2007. My Online Money claim form was issued on 23/04/2007 at Northampton
After a month it was transferred to Brentford as this was the nearest court to the bank. Another month went by and the judge at Brentford transferred it to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Kingston</st1:place></st1:City>. Why I don’t know. I have now received a Notice of Allocation Hearing for the end of August. What should I do now? Sit it out and wait for a call? Has anyone else been delayed this way? Any advice would be gratefully received.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

I've had over £2k back from the banks and credit cards with more to come using letters from another site. Interesting to see there's so much going on here to. This is great. I hope everyone gets back everything that was nicked from them by these awful institutions.0

After several phone calls and speaking to Sandy Watt at the beginning of the week and threatening court action if no offer letter we got the offer letter yesterday and another arrived today.
So because of the postal strike tomorrow we dropped the letter into the nearest branch and are having it sent via internal mail and i also faxed a signed copy to them. They offered all the charges less the interest so shoould see £1919 in the account soon.
They used all sorts of excuses as to why the letter was late but just keep on their backs and they eventually crack.:rotfl:
:T Money in bank today yippee only took nearly 3 months:money: :T0 -
do you have to get statements from bank or can i add it up via internet and bypass the first letter.0

I'm just wondering how long it takes from 1st letter sent out to money in bank (obvious approx).
I'm in Lloyds TSB, I sent my letter out asking for statements on 30/4/7 then approx 5 weeks later recieved them, i added them up and sent them back 3 weeks ago. Do they always leave it right up to 40 days.
thing is i'm skint and they just keep charging more and more. same question as above.
Many thanks.
A look through the success thread will give you an idea of timescales. It varies with each bank and even then with each case so there's no definitive answer really sorry. You can keep adding charges to the list you will be reclaiming right up until you file at court though.0 -
theozziend wrote: »Well, well. I did as advised, and had a call today from a very nice chap. He was really helpful and said all he wanted to do was to find a solution that would help me. He said he knew nothing about my claim, but completely understood that if (when) I got my charges refunded, then I would be in a very different position. We agreed on £50 a month to bring down the over-overdraft, but that it probably would never happen! He said of course, he could not comment on my claim, but completely knew where I was coming from! When I said that the court date was 2 weeks today, he said "oh, imminent then". He has raised my overdraft limit to where it finished up last month in the meantime so that I would not get further charges!! As I said, I would only have had to add them to the amount I was re-charging. He was really nice, and even made a comment when I said that I had been trying to ring the litigation department and they never return my calls.
Glad it worked out ok. Good luck with court0 -
Hi there,
hope someone can help me - can I accept the partial offer the are payig me and claim the rest through court or FO?
Thanks!!!
Yes you can. Put it in writing that you will accept the offer as part settlement without prejudice (that bit is important) and that you will be reclaiming the remainder in court or the FO.0 -

It looks as though the courts are busy. I shouldnt worry at the delay and start preparing for the Allocation Hearing. Advice on the various hearings can be found here:
Court Hearings
It doesnt say much about the Allocation Hearing so perhaps someone who has been through it can post their experience but hope that helps a tad0
