I know hope as many people possible stick it to em
They were not very helpful to us when we needed it. we have now opened a new account so its there loss. cant wait to get all that money back but when i think what we have been through with that bank i could scream.
it for two diff accounts but claimed them both together on one claim.
Did you have to send in court bundle or anything like that0 -
Hi there thanks so much for the reply, itt's all pretty encouraging!0

BankBandit-
No. Filed MCOL and they acknowledged with intent to defend. They had until 4pm on Friday 15th to put in their defence but we received a chq on that day. I just collected evidence in case I had to go to court. Better to be prepared and not need it, than not prepared and lose. Often they seem to put in a defence and then their defence turns out to be that they have already paid out. Seems such a waste of time and money to me but I suppose some do fall by the wayside and get scared off by the banks tactics. Its times like these that all the support on this site helps.(And my other half of course...he's been a tower of strength:A )
Don't be put off. Soldier on and I'm sure you will beat them.:j
I've started on Capital One now!
And then I'm going to tackle some old loan accounts!! (At least I will if someone will confirm that I can!!)0 -

Good luck they are realy quiet good nothing like nationwide . They send you statments free of charge to if you call and ask for them :beer:0 -
Thanks Bankbandit
See what I mean about support!
I've sent £10 off to them (recorded delivery of course) with first letter. Maybe they'll refund it for me
I don't think this one will amount to more than a couple of hundred but.................ITS STILL MINE! Thought I might ring them when I get a list of charges back.
Still not sure if I can claim for the old loan a/cs but, in the absence of anything to the contrary, I think I will give it a go anyway.0 -
Hi Advent
I called them up to ask for statments and had them within the week as soon as i got them i did first letter and sent it to them. they wont discuss it over phone.
I gave them fourteen days to reply and got a part offer 9 days later , i have now written back to them saying i will take it as part payment and given them 7 days to pay the rest or i push the button as mcol claim all ready to go lolso what if it is only a small amount its your money :money:

Very true Bankbandit.
I read a few days ago that someone got £136 back from Cap One after 1 phone call. Anyway. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the encouragement
though.
Thank goodness its Friday! Have a nice weekend and hope all goes well for you.
I'll keep an eye out for your success story!0
