You only need to split the claims before you go to court!
For the purpose of requesting the info off the bank - its 1 request covering 3 accountsonly £10
Got It & Spent It :dance:IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)On Hold :mad:A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)0 -

So boys and girls please help, dont know what i am supposed to do next.
Its OK Barclays do this all the time - they won't respond with any more senses till you get a court date, at which point they will make you a better offer! But NOT before you get a court date!Got It & Spent It :dance:IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)On Hold :mad:A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)0 -

Is that a quote from a letter from the MCOL or your local court?
MCOL have a standard letter which they then send out with a line over that section of text.
You will get a letter from your local court in a few weeks with the Allocation questionnaire, giving you 2 weeks to return it. If your total claim is under £1,500 then there is no fee required to submit this. If its over £1,500 they should tell you that what the fee amount is, which should be return with the form.
It's also worth noting here that the bank may settle here as not to incur further cost on their part.Got It & Spent It :dance:IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)On Hold :mad:A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)0 -

I don't know if anyone can help but i am currently in the process of reclaiming £200 ish from natwest , My claim is now at the court stage they have just filed an acknowledgment of the claim through money claim online. The problem is that this month i went overdrawn again and received a letter from them to inform me they would be charging me a £28 penalty charge. hi look at thread no 4040 by cyberman its a great letter send it to them
o and by the way now you are at court stage you can add the charges onto your claim when you send in your paper work but i dout it will get that far when you get a court date ring there litigation dept and tell them you have a court date and ask them if they would like to settle out off court now otherwise you will go all the way ,in long run it will cost them more money as the interest will be added this will get them moving:rolleyes: ITS A FAR BETER THING I DO NOW THAN I HAVE EVER DONE BEFORE

can any of you successful people help me? Lloyds TSB have taken £2229 in such charges off my fiance since Sept 01, we are willing to forego the interest hoping that it will make them more willing to settle, also thinking of trying to compromise by saying we accept that a nominal fee has to be taken to cover their admin etc but that we think a fair amount is around £3.50 per default (middle of figures Martin quotes) and so we would be willing to deduct that, leaving them owing £2004 and round down to £2000 on the nose. Is that madness or is a compromise a good idea, my worry is that a compromise may seem like an admission of 'guilt' or a weakness to be exploited but I would rather get 2k back than nothing or have the worry of maybe going to court. thanks for any help in advance0

Hello,
I am new here and require some help from you experts. My Mother has three bank accounts with LTSB and is owned thosands of pounds in bank charges across them. I understand that a £10 fee needs to be paid in order to access the bank charges from the bank, however, does she need to pay 3 x £10 as they are with the same bank?
Thank you very much in advance for your help
Kind Regards
Ang
Hi angie7,
Strongly suggest that you treat each account as a seperate issue. Therefore, YES, pay the £10 three times. It is very little to what you'll get back. Make certain for each of the three, you send the letters by recorded delivery.
WHY ... because you will probably get different answers back on each account. It still seems the Banks have left hands that have not a clue what the right hand is doing. I have 3 accounts which I treated as seperate entities. Each reply differed and came from from different offices. This enabled me to play the bank with their own game, it confused them so much so that now, they don't have a logical answer for me. In due course, I will place this in front of a judgeThe Winner Takes it All0 -

Hi All, first time on the forum, but I have been using Martins advice & letters for reclaiming bank charges. I am claiming £4982 plus interest, total: £6018 from Alliance & Leicester. On 29th May sent them letter stating I would accept 25% less [£4500] if settled within 14 days. Received a letter dated 1st June saying they are looking into my complaint and will contact me shortly. 14 days was up on 13th June. I know the next step is to fill in form for the small claims court, but didnt really think it would get this far. Maybe I was being a bit naive but thought they would have settled by now.
Two questions:
Can anyone give any advice on best tactic to fight my case on the Court forms? All help needed [I'm not very good at filling in official forms!]
What experience have you had, [good or bad] if your claim is with Alliance & Leicester? I don't really see their name mentioned much on this website regarding people winning their claim from them.0
