Why? Were you brought up with awful manners, or was it something you acquired later? :(

I consider it to be due to a lack of intelligence.

The ASDA near us is full of potty-mouth mums and their hoard of out-of-control kids, especially on a Saturday. I try to avoid the place!

Most people don't feel it's appropriate to swear at a child. You see it occasionally and it makes you wonder what that child's going to be like in a few years time.

They'll be shuffling around Asda in their pyjamas swearing at their own offspring.;)

Pity you don't show any respect or good manners to other people who don't like swearing, then.

They are of no significance to my life so no, I don't care.. Chances are I wouldn't be speaking to them so they shouldn't be listening in on other peoples conversations.. that is more rude.

If I was in their house I would probably abide by their rules.

Outside is neutral ground so I say what I like when I like and if they don't like it they can ... eff off?? lol... in short sharp jaunty pirouettes if they wish.

    Sad but often true.

What a lovely, compassionate, caring person you sound.

I feel awful for this, but on reflection it is true that the only place I have seen children being sworn at is (various) branches of ASDA.:embarasse

I am going to have to remortgage and start shopping at waitrose
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

There is such a thing as respect for others though...Do what you want in your own house (if you have no regards for your family members), but strangers don't have to be subjected to offensive behaviour. Overhearing someone effing and blinding on the street or in the supermarket is NOT the same as "listening in" to their conversation deliberately, btw.

The Asda nearest me is always full of students, they swear a bit but the most annoying thing is the way they meander aimlessly in large groups.

Just the impression I like.. that means no one expects anything of me and I don't have to say no.. It is completely the opposite for those I care about and extended to those they care about bar a few... It took a long time perfecting. I stay here (online) because I don't like people in general very much... if I do explore the outside I don't want people thinking I want befriending or anything else .. glad to see it is working :D

There is the odd event that makes me boil with anger... usually related to vulnerable members of society or politics.
