Swearing

Mind you, the good thing about not swearing that much is that when you DO issue a good swear word, it really hits home hard! I start at Hmm. Then Strewth or Cor or Whaaaaa. Then there's blinking heck. Once things get to bloody hell, w**k or s**t we're cooking. By the time I get to f-ing then I'm either drunk or very excited. The c word is like sex - should be done in private between consenting adults and only for fun!0

My son wore pyjamas to go to school once last term, I think it was red nose day? Perhaps that could have been it?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

They are of no significance to my life so no, I don't care.. Chances are I wouldn't be speaking to them so they shouldn't be listening in on other peoples conversations.. that is more rude.
If I was in their house I would probably abide by their rules.
Outside is neutral ground so I say what I like when I like and if they don't like it they can ... eff off?? lol... in short sharp jaunty pirouettes if they wish.
And there you have it folks. Everything that is wrong with our society today:T0 -
I hate swearing. It is just so negative and I associate it with anger and hurt and so on.
I hate when folk swear in front of my son, or any children for that matter, and it is even worse if they direct the swearing at a child.
We grew up in a family where there really wasn't much swearing and I still cringe when I hear it.
As for thinking it's 'cool' to swear, well I suppose it goes along with a lot of things folk think are cool.......it's really really not, to anyone else other than them.
Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
Encouragement always works better than judgement.0 -

Actually, I saw a stand up comedian once who I often hear on the radio. Live, he swore a lot and I was annoyed not because I was offended, but on the radio he had to be much more creative and his insults were really, really funny. When he just called someone a (*insert any rude word you want*) live it was never as funny as "badger-flan" or "chump-wazzock" or whatever.0
