Hi Crumpets :) Nice to see you.:hello:

54p in change jar today :)

After deciding to invest in a tall freezer we've now realized that they are more expensive than we thought :o Have decided to get the tree chopped first and then to see if there's enough money left over for a freezer. I bought a lottery ticket for tonight and will cross my fingers :D

Started making the seed packets for my colorful veg gifts, only done one so far but it looks lovely and as I'm doing it in my lunchtime I feel very productive :A

DH not only ironed his shirt this morning but made his own lunch and offered to make dinner tonight! If he's been taken over by an alien I'd very much like it to stay :rotfl:

I'll see if I can post a picture of my ones Courgette, I'm really proud of the one I made today :o

After DH's angelic morning he came home and we immediately had a shouting match over chopped peppers of all things. grrrrr

From now on if he offers to cook I will not attempt to help at all.

5p to the change jar today - we'll be MFW in no time :rotfl:

If only...another £200 spent on a skip today and after uncovering another few lumps of concrete there's another going to be ordered soon  I did suggest that we just leave the bl**dy stuff but he wants to get all done and dusted. On talking to next door who apparently had 10 skips to deal with his garden I guess we shouldn't complain

The seed packets are coming along nicely Crumpets. I'm currently constructing the envelopes and next I've got to find a nice way to label them. :) When done I will post a picture. (or try at least)

45p in the change jar today - it would have been 50p but 5p dropped behind the cabinet where it will no doubt live for some time :o

Just got our boss to agree Xmas time off and we've got almost 2 weeks :j And this is on a day when he's extra grumpy too

Money wise I've reduced the payments for the family loan to just interest only so that there's a bit extra savings in prep for mat leave and the fact that we are now going camping with the in-laws next year.

I am extremely looking forward to travelling 9 hours by car/ferry/car with a 4 month baby and a 3 year old.

Felt like superwoman yesterday :D Two loads of washing done, made it to playgroup and then baked cheese scones and flapjacks with DS Hovered the dining room of flour while DS flooded the kitchen :rotfl: So the kitchen is now clean too :p

Back to work today and I feel like poo  A maccyD's with coke has revived me a bit and its only another hour till I pick DS up and defrost a load of hm soup to have with cheese scones for dinner.

Spent £23 on three christmas presents in a rush at lunch as I've got to get them wrapped and given to the in-laws before they jet off to the USA. I hope the kids like the presents, its soo hard buying for people you only see every few years and tbh I can't remember their ages! :o

Well done on your baking smlsave, I love cheese scones and I've never thought of having them with soup before. I think I'll make some for lunch tomorrow.

I share your woes about travelling with young kids. We went on a 9 hour car drive across America when dd2 was 6 months old...it's long time to keep kids entertained. Make sure you have plenty of activities for your 3 year old.

We went to the south of France when DS3 was 8 weeks old!:D (and as he was less than 6lb when born was a tiny wee thing still in premmie clothes when we went), DS2 was 3 (DS1 was 9 and DD 11) - I actually found it ok - babies that age just sleep and eat and as I was breastfeeding that part was really easy - nothing needed for DS3. We bought a pop up travel moses basket for the holiday (a Vertbaudet one from fleabay which had been used for a week's holiday and sold it straight afterwards for more than we'd bought it for:T) which was fab - lightweight and folded away to nothing in it's own bag :) It was probably easier than Florida with 3 children when DS2 was 20months, DS1 was 7 and DD 9) (although the long flights with a 20 month old on my lap were hellish :() Enjoy! xx
