    Hi all

Well another week has passed. Hope you are all doing well on your overpaying.

Went to lawyer yesterday all papers signed and need to make a transfer to lawyer on Monday with her fees included which is going to make a hefty dent in the bank balance, was enjoying the extra interest on it I was getting from the 123 account.

Not sure when the first mortgage payment will come out need to contact Santander. Have to buy new buildings insurance today so will get onto that have had a scout about but it seems to be more expensive going via a cashback site.

Have had some payments into my account which I have moved over to 123 account which I will OP as soon as I have £500.
    • £111 from £co (cash back for flights for summer hols and switching gas and elec)
    • £31 from another cashback site
Getting excited about the prospect of making my first OP.

On the holiday front visas arrived yesterday and booked a hotel in KL (£28 tracked in TCB) I have also booked and paid for one of the tours I want to do. So I think all major expenses accounted for although I am undecided whether to book another flight or go overland. Overland cheaper option but its the time factor I will make a decision soon then all I need to do is work out spends.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Did a shop at Mr T and had a £9 moc, so will transfer that over to the overpayment pot.

Got suitcases in the sale at Mr T and had a £10 off direct till spit so thats another thing ticked off the holiday list my other suitcases are a bit grubby. Every year when I get back from hols say I am going to buy new ones then use them again because I am a miserable git :rotfl:

Today I will take my mum shopping and resist the urge to spend need milk and rolls need to just buy that!!

My dads on his way round so off to get the tea on have a good day everyone :)

    Update on mortgage

Transferred all monies on Monday and paid lawyers fees completed sale on Tuesday. First Mortgage payment will come out on the 28th.

Phoned to ask about overpayment the guy said to wait until my first regular payment goes and then make an overpayment. Mortgage with Santander and I thought it had to be aminimum OP of £500 he said no as long as the payment is enough to reduce term by 1 month. I will call back before I make payment to make sure.

Have about £200 put away towards Op at the moment so that gives me probably about a month to get as much together as possible. Need to get holiday spending money too so will probably be a bit tight.

    Went Shopping yesterday:
    • used £5moc for Mr t
    • used £20 vouchers received from Val Opinions at Mr S
    • popped into FF for bits that are cheaper there
It's my friends 40th tomorrow and she wanted Argos vouchers went to buy them with nectar points and the bloody card wouldn't swipe. So annoyed  had to pay cash!!!

Going out tomorrow night for friends birthday into town will be expensive but I wouldn't miss it.

nice wee surprise when I got in from work a lovely bouquet of flowers delivered from Santander to wecome me to my new home :)

£21 claimed from TCB today so that will go into the OP pot, was undecided whether to convert to CC vouchers but decided to move to OP pot as it is quite a large amount.

:D Well it's Saturday again can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying by!!

    Today's news

I have booked flights from Cambodia to Bangkok for upcoming trip had set up an alert on the flight prices and it dropped on Thursday to the price I wanted to pay. An hour on the plane as opposed to between 6 and 8 overland still a fair bit more expensive but I think the time saved outweighs the price.

£21 paid in from TCB I will move that over to OP pot.

I am going to go into the toiletries stash and start making up a bag each for hols and write a list for what I still need to get.

I need to find a trout recipe for dinner to use reduced trout I got in Mr S

Write a shopping list and do a minimal shop this week any savings towards the flights I have just booked.

Have a good Saturday everyone :)

Well didn't do too well at not spending at the weekend.

Ended up going to the pub with OH had a good night though and met some people I hadn't seen for years so it was good to catch up :)

Just back from DD's school had to buy a new blazer but worth the money and it looks very smart.

Out tomorrow night for dinner,It's my birthday so I am not going to feel guilty about that.

Have ducked in and out of the rain showers and got my washing dried off a bit. Heating still on though , bloody awful for May dread what the bills will be like .

Meant to add, made a pot of mushroom soup with whoopsied mushrooms.

Tried to do a minimal shop this week and use up what I've got in.

Also managed to get 5 cards in Next for 90p, they will do for various birthdays coming up.

    It was payday yesterday :j

Have moved all money for bills etc, I will work out what is left over and move that over once I've worked out the rest of the expenses for the month hopefully will have something left to OP.

Got screened out of about 5 surveys  seems to be happening all the time now. Did manage 1 on VO for 50p and 1 on YG for 50p. It all helps.

E-mail from £co £1.77 on its way that will go to OP pot.

Off to hang out washing before I go to work, it's finally stopped raining!!!
