    Morning all :hello:

Big ((((hugs)))) to kiwichick and oops a daisy :grouphug: What is it with this board at the moment? The job and relationship problems almost seem to be contagious :( To anybody who's going through the mill at the moment, I hope things pick up soon and start to look a lot brighter for you.

Penny-Pincher!! - sorry to hear you've been really unwell lately. I am off work next week so perhaps I can come round for a cuppa and a chat if you're feeling up to it?

My beloved laptop is in intensive care where my ex is trying to resuscitate it. He reckons that he should be able to fix it... let's hope so! I don't have a budget for a new one at the moment... (I think my ex is rather enjoying playing with it though, he's an IT support contractor but isn't currently working, so I think he likes having a computer to tinker with ;))

Plans for the day... work work work, then evening at the opera thanks to a cheap standing ticket. Still trying to resolve yesterday's work crisis, however I did at least manage to win some brownie points later on by getting to the bottom of some errors in somebody else's statistics :D

Old Styling for the day - not a lot. Oh, except for the yummy HM asparagus soup I've got for my lunch.

((((Hugs)))) to anybody else who needs them.

    Love Rzl xx

    Hi everyone!

Thought I'd pop in as I'm unexpectedly at home this morning. DD2 woke up about 11 last night with a raging temperature (having been fine all day) and even after meds she couldn't settle so I was up with her most of the night. Have her off school which has caused a bit of a nightmare as I've no one to do school runs for DD1 so have had to keep her off too which I'm feeling guilty about as its never happened before. Also had to ring work and tell them I couldn't come in and arrange for someone to come over and collect all the stuff I needed to take in with me this morning, more guilt. Also had a row with DH as he just swans out the door at 7.40 leaving me to deal with everything....feel bad about that now too so doing well lol.

Anyway will try and get something useful done today if DD2 sleeps. DD1 is dressed as a nurse and is going to be my helper so wish me luck!

    Kel xx

  • Morning all, it's been about a week since I managed to post on the daily thread, mainly because (a) I lead a very boring life :rotfl: and (b) because I was actually away for the weekend having a reunion with some old friends.

It's still raining   and I also have baby plants waiting to go outside in readiness for a bumper vegetable fest later on this year :o

Not much OS going on round here, I was so shattered after the weekend that I didn't even get the basics done yesterday so now I have to get my act together and break out the vinegar and microfibre cloths.

Having lunch with a friend later and then going out tonight for a 'Girly Gardening' evening, apparently it's sales of gardening equipment in girly shades of lilac and pink - hmm, not sure if OH will appreciate the garden turning pink overnight :rotfl:

Spent yesterday afternoon watching an ENORMOUS raven unhooking the bird feeders off my bird table and rolling them over the lawn in order to peck the peanuts out of them. Very clever bird but made a horrible mess everywhere  We've also attracted a vicious sparrowhawk who has slaughtered a baby ring necked dove and a starling on our front lawn in the past two days :(, that was horrible to see.

Right, time for more coffee methinks.
Hugs to Kiwichick (nice to see you back but I'm sorry to hear your news), PP, and all those in need
Happy Birthday! to Sweet Pea, have a lovely day

Good luck, Kelinick! Hope your daughter recovers quickly with her sister's help! ;)

I don't feel too good today, either. I had a terrible nights sleep with really painful Braxton Hicks contractions throughout most of the night! Not as bad as the real thing but still quite painful and there was no way that I could sleep through them. :(

It's left me feeling really lethargic this morning and I don't know where to start. Yet again I have no motivation when it comes to housework! I just need to start somewhere and stop finding excuses.

I've got to stay in today anyway as I'm having a parcel redelivered and daren't risk missing it again. It's a baby monitor. Have almost got all the outstanding items now. Just after a moses basket.

I've made a bit of a balls-up on that front as well....:( I've been bidding on different baskets on ebay within a 15 mile radius of home. They all welcome home collection as, obviously, they are bulky to post. I've only just realised that the one I'm currently bidding on didn't actually specify that the winning bidder can collect! I've emailed her and she's agreeable to that but the basket is in a warehouse over 25 miles from where I live rather than a town 10 miles away where the location is listed! :o Now I'm hoping that I'm outbid this time!

Hello everybody and hugs to all. Well today started v badley (a) I had forgotten to put the washing on last night before I went to bed - as had Mr Rage - so I had to wear an alternative to what I had planned for work. (b) got up late so no time to do last night's washing up and (c) realised that on my way home last night I had lost my bus pass on the bus - so that was £9.50 spent on two days of travel  (although to be fair it would be nearly that if I didn't buy the bus pass). However, my new admin manager (who is turning out to be quite nice so we were all wrong on that one  ) told me that we do a discounted scheme for bus passes so I will be popping along to the cashiers later to buy one for £8.70 instead of £9.50! :j They also do monthly ones which work out £10 cheaper than buying a weekly - guess where I'll be within minutes of being paid :D However, was very organised last night and made a huge pan of pasta so we cold both have pasta for lunch today as well. Mr Rage has also sourced the parts he needs for the car off t'internet and will be getting them today or tomorrow (good job too - we could hardly see out of the car windscreen today - sure that's illegal  ). AND the person who owes Mr Rage from November for goods supplied has been served by the County Court with our papers so it may soon be drinks all 'round for us :T Tonight I plan to do nowt (as opposed to other days when I do nowt!:rotfl: ). We are trying not to go to Asda until Thursday for our shop and as a result have no potatoes - so meal planner is; breakfast - banana and cup of green tea; lunch - pasta salad, yoghurt, HM cake (if I eat my youghurt - bleah!) and an apple and dinner will be either toad in the hole with brocolli and carrots or bacon, beans and sausage (see a theme here?). Right I'm off for a surf!!!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Hello all,

Sorry I have been MIA for a while, but I have my final uni exam on Friday and after only getting 57% (a 2:2) in the coursework for it I'm really trying to knuckle down and get a good exam result as I'm teetering on the edge of dropping down to an overall 2:2 from a 2:1 if I mess up, and exams aren't my strong-point anyway. Tinkerbell I hope you're doing OK, we're sooooo close now!!! And Donny-gal, same for your DS...

I have been trying to keep up with the thread, but not doing too well :o Hugs for all who have needed one in the last few weeks, especially scuzz, moggins, ticklemouse, kiwichick, oops a daisy, penny-pincher, all the insomniacs, and huge hugs to anyone who I've missed out :)Kyle, glad to see you're sleeping better, and Queenie and Penelope Penguin, so sorry about your chooks.

I handed my notice in at work a couple of weeks ago - I finish there a week on Saturday so I'm desperately trying to find a full-time job. There were various reasons for me doing it - one being that they downright refused to offer me any more than my 10.5hr contracted hours which is fair enough, although I know for a fact that they're struggling to cover holidays  Anyway off there now, only today, tomorrow am, Sunday, Monday and Friday left :j

Anyway gotta dash - I'll be back properly OS soon I promise!!!

    Take care xx

ps. Crazychick and dlb, I hope you're not affected by the school closures in Chesterfield that I've just heard about...
