Baroness Thatcher passed away

My favourite Thatcher story is about when she was 'rescued' by the SAS in a mock siege at SAS HQ. Apparently the SAS stormed the room she was in and all her aides shat themselves and threw themselves on the floor in terror. She didn't flinch and was heard to say "oh do get up". Don't know if it's true or not.
As for snatching away school milk she'll always have my eternal gratitude. The milk delivered to my school was always warm and made me gag on a daily basis - I've never drunk milk on its own since!0 -

Which is a bit of a perverse statement given that most of what she did was never reversed, and yet you are expecting to live happily ever after just because she has ceased to have no influence.
But then I expect a repeat this time round - after the nasty party have reformed benefits into the Universal Credit, to much wailing from opposition parties, it will stay in existence but just get more money lobbed at it. Which just goes to prove that we needed someone like Thatcher to sort out the incremental malaise which had infected our systems for years.Adventure before Dementia!0 -

is right, you cannot waken the dead!0 -
It's a shame that some people can never seem to see past their own political views to realise that, at times like this, there is a person, mother, grandmother, family member & friend who has just died.
Some of the mean-mouthed rhetoric coming from those with opposing political views to her (both on here & on the news) does nothing more than make them look like the selfish, callous & politically driven monsters they accuse her of being.
She had faults, plenty of them but who doesn't.

I disagreed with most of her policies, but at the same time, I admire a woman who believed in herself and in this country.
The nastiness of people who opposed her is sad - it will be her children and grandchildren who are hurt by the spitefulness - not her.
She had more balls than most of the politicians then and now!0
