Got paid today!! €712 which has to last me two weeks! As well as OH's benefit which he will be saving from now on. Will update all the essentials...
So it's €45 in my savings account...

€100 in our joint savings so altogether €300 in me and OHs wedding account..
I've to save €250 for our rent (comes out the 18th of every month)
I have to pay €85 off OH phone bill (can't wait to get rid of it!!)
    €200 tomoro for my braces
    €45 for our internet bill...

So many bills! And thats before I have paid anything off my cc!! =-O

If it doesn't rain it pours, our tv broke as well.. As far as I can juggle our finances, our best bet is to wait for an offer on littlewooded cos I have a credit account. it would give me a little flexibility as well.....

    Thanks.

Bleh. So had to borrow MIL car to get around for the next few days.. Public transport doesn't exist where I live in Ireland so have her lovely gas guzzler.. It just runs through the petrol! :O

Well, I bought soup for lunch today in work cos of the old braces but at €1.50 with some brown bread it was frugal enough!

Trying to find our way of these recent financial troubles has me and my OH wondering is it even a good idea to get engaged and married when you have no money?? We really want to be married, but the money situation is definitely getting us down :( Especially as OH has no job.. Boy he has tried it all!

Well, I'm off to put my feet up at the couch.. I'm still going to Birmingham in 2 weeks time as its already paid for and I'll be doing 9 hours overtime this week as well to have extra in the kitty!

    Toodles!

((hugs)) there will be ups and downs, why not plan the wedding for when your debts paid? I'm sure you'd feel better knowing your were marrying debt free xx

Well, the wedding money is actually for an engagement ring!

So to update, I have officially €11.50 in my bank account..

Put €250 into the credit card so I think I'm around €270 on it at this stage, I need to double check at the bank tomoro!

So I *think* I owe them €230 and then I have €340 outstanding on the tv.. I'm happy we sorted out that one problem..

So the car... what to do! We spoke to scrap yard and they said the least we would get for her is €200, most around €400.. Here's hoping for nearer the higher end!

I think we are going to have the MIL car now for a few weeks so we can save up some cash to get a new car. We desperate need a little go around, esp so I can get to work etc..

Spendies on groceries today was €23.65 in aldi and €17.30 in tesco.. Got a lovely bit of round steak for €5 which will be fabulous roasted so thats my plan for the weekend!

  • Mmmm roasted steak :) Mouth watering here...!!

It's great that you have been able to borrow MILs car for a little while. As you say it'll give you a chance to put a few €€ together, plus time to look around and get a good deal, rather than impulse buying coz you're stuck.

    Enjoy your weekend :D

    Thanks Headabovewater..

Had a very unspendy day today.. I spent €1 on a new card for my baby niece!! My mum took me to the local charity shop, my friend works there and she put a dress away for me to try on.. A bargain at €3!

Yup, so we are putting the pennies away for a car.. Its not a total necessity atm but we will wait for a little while before getting a new one!

Roast steak cooked and in the fridge ready for sambos during the week and dinners!

Had a spendy morning, OH spent €10 on stuff for brunch.. It was a lovely gesture though, and nice to spend the morning in the house with him!

Have been looking online for a little lace bodysuit to go under the dress I got yesterday on the charity shop. I've £5 in an amazon account to spend so most of them are around £8 so only £3 as well!

Hoping this week that I can survive without coal and oil this week!

Planning on doing some overtime this week again to ensure that when I go to birmingham that I have a little financial cushion for when I get home!

    Hi guys!

Been MIA as I had a huge busy week at work and when I got home at the weekends turning on my laptop was the last thing on my mind!

So its a bank holiday weekend in the ROI... :T

Saga so far is that I have put another €20 into our wedding fund.. My credit card is now sitting at €112 owing on it! Delighted with that but it does include my spending money for next week in birmingham! :o

I still have €320 left in my current account... I get paid again on the 17th of this month so I'm going to have to be savvy! I was doing so much overtime lately that when I got my pay check I was 6 hours overtime down and this is paid at double time  Nearly freaked out! I had done enough overtime to pay for my trip away and I emailed my boss and he'll put it on my next wage packet. Its slightly disheartening, mainly because I've been looking forward to this trip for ages and thought I had it all figured out by not spending my usual wage!!

I've been looking about for the best rate for my sterling around and it seems our local currency converter place on the border works out the best! :)

In terms of MSE, I'm definitely trying to be better.. Bought a ted baker dress, (brand new by the looks of it) for €10 at a charity sale! Delighted I was! I've also done my hair at home this month and I bought the OH one of the big value pack gilette rasor packs.. 11 blades with it for €25 so I told him he has to make it stretch the year now :rotfl:

No luck on the car front either.. I think both of us realise that not having a car for a few months probably won't hurt us, plus we can borrow OH's mums car whenever we need! I think thats all for now!
