A Sensible answer !!! Well said . That`s an old Yorkshire soldered stopcock . BS1010 headgear . Just like a new (old stock) one in my garage . I`ll do it for the OP for
£50 inclusive . IF they live in E. Sussex - or somewhere nice we could incorporate a day out ( but I`ll need petrol £ for that ) Come to that I could get to Norfolk and back for £130;)

Oh, that's what it is. Never seen one before, maybe they don't use them round here.

The OP said he can't see how to find out if the stopcock is 15mm or 22mm, so perhaps he should hire you !
