hi guys, i was reading through this thread last night and gave t-mobile a call this morning, i just basically told them exactly that they were charging over 3.2% which meant I could cancel immediately, i spoke to cancellations department and the woman over the phone gave me her managers email address, and put my reasons into writing and got a positive reply, my account has been cancelled without penalty and I will receive my PAC code and letter of confirmation within 7 working days.

this is what the guy replied with

    Hi,

    Thankyou for your email.

Whilst the RPI is set at 3.3% I can confirm that I have read your quote from the Office of national statistic and on those grounds I am happy to cancel your line with immediate effect.

I would like to point out that by cancelling immediately may result in the line being cut off straight away and once this happens this cannot be re-instated

Please confirm that you for this to be done immediately

    Please advise

    So easy ;)

As you have the email address of this ever so helpful manager I suppose you're willing to share it with the rest of us? ;)

please allow me to sort my sisters contract out first, i dont want him to get bombarded left right and center with cancellation emails.

when i spoke to t-mobile again regarding my sisters line, it proved much harder sorting out, once i sort it tommorow, I will give you all the address.

If genuine I think you would find that the PAC would have been issued straight away.:p

Could you forward the email you received from t-mobile onto eevenrandomcurve@gmail.com ?

RC has been very very proactive on helping customers out in this thread, and you forward of your email would be greatly appreciated.

Anybody want to email the above to MSE? - feel free - I consider my post above as "sending the email". Don't copy me in this time though. And obviously the above is the rationale for the post Oct 2012 Contract holders.

Let me know if you spot any "flaws" in the argument. But basically it is not about arguing the rate that has been applied it is about arguing which months rate should be applied. AND there is a BIG clue for you PRE Oct 2012 contract Holders - except you have an additional "10 pages" of A4 rationale to wade through to get to this point".

If you keep sending those emails out #570 and #602 (copy me in) then I will post the whole thing over 2 or 3 nights -deal?

sorry, i didn't explain properly, obviously to use the PAC code the line has to be active, once i have it and use it, then i guess they'll deactivate the line i suppose.

So your account hasn't "been cancelled without penalty and I will receive my PAC code and letter of confirmation within 7 working days" as stated at 11:30pm?

Ok, I'm sure anything is possible.

my account has been cancelled, obviously my line has to be active so i can use the PAC code, so once my numbers transffered to giffgaff, that will be it, theyve told me theirs no cancellation fee or anything.
