T mobile are playing silly !!!!!!s

it is now confirmed T Mobile have blacklisted my two mobile phones, even though i purchased them as sim free open to all networks

its not the number they have blocked its the IMEI number, if i put my sim into another phone it works fine

so i have had to order another two phone to replace the two blocked as they say it could take a month to sort it out

not happy as they deny any conection but my new supplier says it was them, i have been told it will be investigated, i have had to send in the recipt for the phones by post to prove they are mine.

funny how today i got the final bill and today they are blocked

Emailed the Inquirer last Sunday and they've taken up the story:

    http://m.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2264454/tmobile-allegedly-breaches-its-cancellation-policy

    Finally, some much-needed publicity :j

    Hopefully story will now spread.

The T-Mobile spokesperson's response in the article sounds very weak.

Maybe the ONS will take more interest now that T-Mobile has gone public in saying "We used the 3.3 [percent] figure in anticipation of the issue of the RPI figure by ONS"?

Brilliant news, once I see the article I might resend my emails - see if someone else takes it up now it is finally "breaking".

Is anyone else being ignored by T-Mobile/EE as much as I have been?

8th April - Email sent explaining reasons for cancellation
10th April - Letter sent 1st class recorded explaining reasons for cancellation.
15th April - Generic letter received from T-Mobile. Ignored all the points in my original letter
15th April - Contatced T-Mobile Customer Services, advised to email their Arbitration Scheme for deadlock letter
15th April - Email sent to T-Mobile Arbitration Scheme
    17th April - Re-sent email to T-Mobile Arbitration Scheme
19th April - Email T-Mobile to complain about lack of contact

Ive been in touch with CISAS - I have to wait 8 weeks before I can take the matter to them, unless I receive a letter of deadlock or a letter stating T-Mobile no longer wish to communicate any further. At the moment its hard to get them to communicate full stop!

Anyone else in the same position?

Keep hammering the executive.office Olaf.swantee and Jackie.o'leary email addresses, keep asking them to comment on the meaning of 7.2.3.3, like why it talks about RPI the month before the notice.

Ask enough times and they should tell you they refuse to communicate further, they are the old Orange exec office so being uncooperative comes natural to them.

It might be because you've argued your case particularly well and they're deliberately stalling you? Try giving them a deadline to respond, you can clearly show you've made every attempt to resolve your complaint - if they don't respond (again), ask CISAS if they'll accept your application on this basis - if it looks like T-Mobile are ignoring you, CISAS may be willing to accept your complaint.

It's also likely T-Mobile is going into meltdown mode under the sheer volume of complaints - I got a letter on Thursday, dated 10 April, well after my email of 19 April from EE's Executive Office. The fact that the letter doesn't refer to the RPI rate of 16 April is telling enough, it's obvious there's no mention of the latest RPI rate until after 16 April, in the email.

I've sent an email to the ONS:

    "Dear xxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your prompt response to my email enquiry.

I appreciate the information you provided on the pre-release access of your statistical data, as this has clarified my understanding of the process.

I have a real concern that your latest RPI data may have been disclosed to T-Mobile (Everything Everywhere) Ltd, prior to being officially published on 16 April. My reasons for this assertion are outlined below.

The Inquirer has published an article on its website regarding a potential breach by T-Mobile of its own terms and conditions. In response to the article, a T-Mobile spokesperson stated "We used the 3.3 [percent] figure in anticipation of the issue of the RPI figure by ONS". As the letters informing customers of the 3.3% price rise were sent by T-Mobile at the beginning of April (I received my own letter on 6 April), this is a clear indication that T-Mobile had prior knowledge of the RPI rate before it was published on 16 April. I have provided a link to the relevant article below:

    http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2264454/tmobile-allegedly-breaches-its-cancellation-policy

I received a letter from T-Mobile on 25 April, which I hadn't seen until after I sent my email enquiry to you. Their letter is dated 10 April, and states "The rise is in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI) which is currently at 3.3%". Again, this indicates that T-Mobile had knowledge of the 3.3% rate, 6 days before it was officially published. I have attached a copy of the letter to this email.

In the email dated 19 April from EE's Executive Office, they stated "The Office of National Statistics published its official rate of RPI for the period 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013. The official measure of RPI for this period is 3.3%. This is in line with the 3.3% price increase we notified customers of in April to take effect from 10th May". EE are clearly referring to the RPI rate released on 16 April, and are indicating this is the rate they were referring to in their notifications sent at the beginning of April. This email is attached to the email enquiry I sent to you on 25 April.

I am extremely concerned that T-Mobile, a commercial company, appears to have had prior knowledge of a Government statistic, ahead of its official publication. I believe that there is enough evidence here of a potential disclosure, whether accidental or intentional, to warrant investigation by the ONS, in accordance with your "National Statistician’s Guidance: Confidentiality of Official Statistics":

    23. Statistics producers should ensure that no indication of the content in any new release is made public before release, nor given to the media or any other party not recorded as eligible for pre-release access. Any accidental or wrongful release must be reported to the National Statistician or the chief statistician in a devolved administration and an investigation of the circumstances initiated as soon as it becomes known that a wrongful release has occurred.

I would appreciate your views on the abothive matter, and whether it warrants investigation by the ONS, as it seems clear there has been a breach of confidential Government statistical information?

Thank you for taking the time to consider my enquiry."

I have to stop this - emailing the ONS on a Saturday evening - I used to have a life before T-Mobile :o

Received from EE - An admission that they did not follow the rules ?

Thank you for your email. The written notice that was issued in early April 2013 was sent without knowledge of what the actual March RPI figure would be until published on 16 April 2013, however, this increase in charges is not an increase above the published month March RPI figure of 3.3% and does not give the customer a right to cancel. This was a risk that we took as a business as to what figure would be published on 16 April 2013 but that was our risk to take as a business and does not give the customer the right to cancel. As a business we anticipated the RPI figure for March, if it had been lower than expected customers would have been entitled to cancel their contracts but as this is not the case, cancellation of your contract without penalty is declined. As you have reached the end of our escalation process, if you wish to take this matter further you will need to seek external advice.Yours sincerelyJonathan BaillieExecutive Office, EE

Thanks everyone. Just sent another email to everyone on the previous pages email address.

Hopefully that may get some replies!

It must be chaotic at EE headquarters as they are also dealing with the change of T&C's for Orange customers without notifying them! https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4517039

Shame really, T-Mobile used to be such a great company until EE got involved and dragged it down to Oranges level.
