Evening everyone. Sorry I haven't posted properly for a while.

Well, this time next week, I'll be in our new flat :j. I'm so excited I can't tell you. We have an appointment with the letting agent at 10.30am.

I've sorted the phone and broadband out and we have our new telephone number. Unfortunately it won't be switched on until the 22nd July, so we will be broadbandless (think that's a new word) for the weekend. I've also done the contents insurance as the lettings agent wanted tenants liability cover too. I feel super organised!

Now, this won't surprise my regulars here, but OH's parents are coming down to stay on the Monday after we move in!! I'm not happy about it, but what can I say? It is OH's place too (the old flat was more mine than his), so I don't feel like I can refuse. I've said they can take us as they find us and buy us a meal. Cheeky beggars!!

6 days to go :j - yep, I'm doing a countdown.

Lovely day here today. I spent the morning with OH, who has now gone back to his mate's to help him with stuff around the house (feels obliged to since he's living there for 2 weeks).

This afternoon I'm going to see Despicable Me 2 with my sister and niece. I have high hopes, I loved the first movie, especially the Minions.

Just to say that my diary will be temporarily closed for refurbishment (well, moving house).

It will reopen on 23rd July when I will hopefully have the internet up and running in my new flat. I might even start a new one :think:

Hi everyone

Just popped in to say that we have moved. Nearly had a heart attack when the payment for the deposit and first months rent got declined. Turns out the bank stopped the transaction as it was a large amount. How embarrassing!!

OH is really pleased with the place, which I'm relieved about as I made the decision without him seeing it. It needs a bit of a clean (cobwebs in the corners and a few ants in the kitchen :eek:), but all in all it's pretty good. The garage is quite big, which please OH even more.

Just had a call from BT who said our phone and broadband won't be set up until 23rd now . How inconvenient. I'll have to come over to my mum's to use her broadband.
