Okay, this is spooky. Second bit of good news after picking up the penny is that the new pay rate for answering questions is now permanent. It basically means that doing 100 questions a day will earn me £40 instead of £30.

I'm going to continue doing 100 questions a day for June as there is a £150 bonus for doing 3,000 this month. That is being dropped from July, so I'll aim to earn £40 a day and will mix it up a bit with questions, MS jobs and other stuff. This might help my sanity a bit too.

So, I'll be looking at earning £1,200 a month instead of £900 :D (I know i have to pay taxes, but I tend to do this in one go instead of just putting money aside for it).

Now, what's the third thing? ;)

That's great news, well done on the win! And brilliant that the pay rate has gone up - long overdue! Now to wait for the third thing...

Thanks Emma - no third thing yet though.

Not doing very well today. Feeling very tired and seriously couldn't face doing any questions this morning. I think I'm going to take a day off - at least I have 23 days to catch up still.

Okay, so I've been thinking. I really can't be doing with this 100 question a day thing. It is going to send me potty. I've tried to just think of the money, but even that's not been enough today, and it's only the 7th.

I've been thinking of the pros and cons of not going for the 100 questions a day in June, and I only came up with one con (losing the £150 bonus).

I'm going to go for £1,200 this month instead. I'm going to halve the questions to 50 a day (£20) and then make the rest up with other things. By doing this, I'll still get £700 question money next month and I'll have more time to do other things to earn the other £500.

Still feeling a bit ropey, so will make a start again tomorrow.

  • Long time no post, Emz, sorry:o. Just had a horrendous week here with car problems and the ill-heath of a close relative where I've needed to keep dashing off to help at short notice and finding the ****** car kept letting me down.

Glad your OH is losing weight by less drastic means, if it isn't too arduous and faddish he will probabaly be able to stick to it long-term. Even cutting out the snacks and convenience foods will show results and give him some encouragement. Wishing him the best of luck with it:beer: (best smilie except he shouldn't be drinking much beer!)

I keep looking on the AQA website (can't remember what it's called now :o) but they never seem to be recruiting.

Someone has made a fraudulent payment using my Paypal account and it has taken ages to sort as the payment came from my bank account . I wasn't aware of this payment going out and a regular DD which was supposed to be paid the next day was returned unpaid (as I have no overdraft facility) and I got a £15 returned DD charge:eek:. Had to do a lot of phoning and sorting. The bank says I need to reclaim the £15 from Paypal but they are not very cooperative although they have reimbursed me with the initial sum which was fraudulently taken. On principle I don't want to 'lose' £15 through no fault of my own but is the hassle of chasing such a relatively small amount worth the time and stress it is causing me? Have already changed passwords and security questions etc on Paypal. Can't imagine how it happened as my internet security is tip-top and, having so little money to spare, I'm very careful to keep a tight rein on it.

On the plus side I, like you, found some money this week:j. OH is always finding coins etc as he is walking along but this is the very first time I've found any money. Best of all, it was a lovely crisp £5 note :jin the hedgerow along a village street where we were strolling one evening.

Sounds like you've been too busy to enjoy the French Open tennis as have I, although I managed to catch yesterday's men's semis. So pleased that my all-time favourite player David Ferrer:happyhear has made the final (without losing a single set all Championship) but very worried that Nadal will 'slaughter' him on Sunday.
