Hugs winnie - sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly hope you feel better soon. Sorry to hear about your husband's grandad.
FOS - love the butterfly one. I am seriously tempted to do the coffee one when I have completed the lets wine one for my dad.
FE - no haven't read either I'm afraid. Hope you enjoy your stitching this weekend no matter what you decide to stitch. Re stash I have a seller on ebay for my threads and beads who is both really quick in sending my stuff and who is also very good value. I haven't had to buy material as I have such a lot in my stash.
Mrs Moneypenny - hope your son's first gig goes well.
No stitching for me tonight as my hayfever seems to be playing up and I have really itchy eyes. Made a start on Let's wine last night so it's off the starters blocks lol.
Hope the hay fever is better today. It is dull and showery here which often reduces the pollen count
I think I am obsessed with these word designs While the butterfly is the one I would love to stitch next I like a lot of the others as well. I thought that $5.99 for a download and print yourself chart was expensive Patchwork Rabbit was selling the printed charts for less than £4 though I did pay more than that for my copy of Let's Sew
Looking forward to seeing your progress on Wine0 -
hmmmm bit of a dilema............and i know i won't be poorly judged on here.
when DS was born (2 years ago) a lady i worked with leant me some books (about 10, a series).
I then went on maternity leave and a year later when i returned she had moved to another building ( miles away from where i work)
Knowing she only lived a few roads away from me (i see her probably once a month walking down road) i asked for her address so i could return them. she wouldn't give it to me but told me her new work building........ she also said she had forgotten i had them.
I was not able to return them due to one thing and another and now i still have them and they won't get read and are taking up space (about 3/4 of a shelf).
being a set I know I can probably shift them on ebay...... but would you?? I always fear if i do then next time i see her in the street she will ask for them back.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Oh come on....... I'm only back two days and you're putting temptation my way!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I stitched 3 of the cards that were in the magazine and they were so quick to make, and look really good. I LOVE the butterfly picture that you have linked to, it's now one of my favourites
If it reignites your stitching passion I shall consider it a job well done
Am resisting buying it at the moment The summer is going to be very expensive with all the family occasions etc Also I am going to the Malvern Quilt Show next week with my stitching group and I think Polstitches will be there ..........0 -

If you still I've and work at the same places then if she had wanted them back she would have contacted you
I would sell them and if you happen to meet her and she asks about them then you can truthfully say you thought she didn't want them back because she said she had forgotten about them and that you had to get rid of them because you needed the room.
Just my opinion and wouldn't work if you we're plagued by guilt after selling them but I guess if you were that bothered you would have returned them by now0 -
Thanks ladies for all your well wishes. Im at work til four today and boy is it dragging. Im really going to fit some stitching time this evening. Does anyone else find it De stresses you?I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0

Thanks FOS - have just looked on ebay and they aren't selling at all. So might put them in my cupboard for another year and then if i've still got them and she's not asked for them I'll get rid.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

There are 2 free books in the Kindle store in the Rose Petal Beach series so perhaps you could try those before spending ?
I decided to make a trip to my local charity shop today *just in case* no Gone Girl book.... but I did find a country companions cricket design (K946 - Hit for six) (£2) and I also got a needlecraft Cross Stitch Kit (50p) (its a poppy design free with Needlecraft september 1992 !!!) plus a book - dummies guide to cats :T (also 50p) very pleased with my bargains :T0 -

Hi may I join you? I am a long time, avid reader of this thread but just had to say that my sister and I are going to the Malvern show too. Sooo excited, went a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Not sure if knowing Polstitches will be there is good or not (must resist adding to my stash).
To introduce myself. I have been a cross stitcher since my early twenties and have been hooked ever since. I lose my mojo on a regular basis but have set a challenge this year with my sis. She has to finish her x-stitch (started 8yrs ago) and I have to finish my Santa (started 5yrs ago) by September.
Will try to pop on now and again as I find reading and seeing all progress very inspiring.
Keep up the good work x-stitchers. :T

A big thankyou to nmm for the lovely stitching on the AOY kit. Already started to finish off the wording and border to get it to the framers ready for mums birthday in august.
Hoping to make a few small 'thankyou teacher' cards but struggling with charts. Found a small apple one that I could add some lettering to but can anyone help with anything else suitable.
