Morning all so this is my progress on my tiger, picture 1 was 25th Feb and picture 2 today.

I've not done a huge amount but I did do a popcorn bear in between to get my cross stitch mojo back.

I'm off on holiday soon so hoping that if I show you a before holiday pic I'll be motivated to do some whilst I'm away.

OH thinks i'm about 40% done, feeling really motivated now i've completed a smaller project, which actually got on my nerves as the threads kept breaking.

This has taken me ages, it changes colour so many times, I spend more time separating threads, threading my needle starting and finishing than actually making stitches.

I started this around 10 years ago, then stuck it in a box for years avoiding it.

Its a lot easier now I have a bigger hoop.

    Afternoon to all.

Just to report that my first issue of Craftseller came today as recommended on a 3 for £1 subs deal by a lovely person on here (sorry can't remember who). It's quite good - even a cross stitch chart in it. Not sure i would pay the cover price but at this special offer, definitely worth it.

Other news, struggling with a Historical sampler birth sampler for my son. Seems such a big piece of material and i am finding it very annoying to keep stitching it and moving it out of the way. Don't have room for a frame so using a hoop. THink I have got out of the habit of bigger pieces with the amount of keyrings and coasters I've made lately.

    Hope everyone is well

    Regards

  • nmm, that AOY is stunning I love the little girl in the blue and whote dress.

BEG, thanks?! :o :rotfl: For posting a link to the making spot. It was mentioned in the last thread but I couldn't remember the name. I refound this chart which I had saw last time. If I ever get around to it... Nee to decide on that one or the other one with flowers.

mrs-moneypenny, that tinkerbell design is unique. Do we get to see the finished design?

Soulie, good luck for Friday, I will be thinking of you :D

CharlieRabbit, that tiger is amazing. To stop you having to change your thread/needle have you thought about a needle organiser? Something like this, you can then thread each colour onto a single needle each and then stitch, thread off and then 'park' your needle. You could easily recrete it using a sponge and some paper ;)

brednall, I always use a hoop. To keep the fabric tidy I just roll it up and use a clothes peg or pegs to clip it together. If needed I also peg this onto the hoop edge. It does mean pressing/iorning between moving your hoop if the fabric/adia becomes creased but its something I am happy to do. Forgive me if you have already thought of this :o

1/4 of the heart done in half stitch. The plan was to half stitch each quarter then go back over it (not needing the pattern) when watching tv... However I quite like it in half stitch. I will try and get a picture today/tomorrow to show you all and gauge opinions :D
