    It's growing....slowly....

Sorry about the crease down the middle - didn't have chance to flatten it out properly.

This is looking good. You have more patience than me to do a monochrome picture.
    Keep stitching x

Thanks for the sympathy :o I've gone back to my 'home sweet home' UFO: will post a starting picture soon xx

Until then - I have a mission for you lovely ladies, if you should choose to accept it! I'm on the hunt for a baby sampler (chart or kit, though preferably kit) which would suit a boy or girl, in neutral colours if possible. Something quite modern would be nice too :D has anyone come across anything in their travels which might suit?

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend :j

I do like some of the Tobin patterns, Bobbis Mummy :D I really liked the look of Kits of the baby peeking out of the pram. I was a bit worried when reading some of the reviews on amazon though: some people have mentioned flawed / marked fabric, hard to decipher charts and not enough thread! How did you find them? Xx

Arrrrrg! Was about to start a new section of my family picture, when I've realised that I've done a (large) chunk of it 1 square out. To fix it, I think I'd have to unpick half of what I've already sewn. So I think I'm best actually just cutting my losses and starting completely from scratch :(

Think I might have to do something else for a while as just depressed with it now!

Oh no! Are you absolutely sure ou can't compensate if it is only 1 square out? I looked at your update photo and the pattern and couldn't see where you had gone wrong. But if you couldn't live with the mistake then perhaps starting agin is the best solution

I love this design of baby's feet though it probably couldn't be called modem :D

But it is definitely not gender specific

Which reminds me of something I saw on Pinterest recently which said it was ideal for a "gender reveal shower". Never heard of this before. Am I just of of touch?

I haven't really looked at this month's Cross Stitch Crazy that dropped through my door the other day but I'm quite disappointed with it and I think I will be phoning up to cancel my subscription.

The free gift (chart book) is nice but I'm not excited by it and there is nothing I feel I want to stitch from it. I do like Joan Elliot designs but I feel the chart booklet is just a re-hash of designs I've already got in one of her books. As I've mentioned previously, I prefer to receive actual stitchy projects because even if the design is not to your liking, the aida/thread can always be reused.

I don't think there is anything in the magazine that is to my liking and nothing appeals for next month.... definitely time to make that phone call!

In general, there has been little time for stitching recently. Last weekend I wasn't very well and this weekend was quite busy. Why are there never enough hours in the day? I hope everyone is keeping well.
