So not much to update at the moment...

Still waiting for payday and still waiting for my balance transfer to go through, so i currently in limbo and i bl00dy hate limbo!

I have money to pay off the credit card but can't until its been transferred and i really don't like having it in my account as it is sooo tempting

Godd news though, i haven't spent any money on lunches this week so must have saved a few quid there.

    Anyhow here's to being patient!

  • You're doing really well, hope the balance transfer doesn't take much longer!
  • Hi 1stTimer,

I hope your BT has sorted itself out?

I would definitely keep your car, one of my aims when I'm debt free is to save up and buy myself something new. I know many people will think that is pointless but it's just something I want to do! You can't go getting rid of all your gadgets and nice things! Make sure you get paid for getting your insurance quotes too - TCB pay £1 for gocompare and £1.50 for confused.com (or maybe it's the other way round), we all love money for doing nothing!! Happy debt slaying, keep up the good work :)

    Hey guys, happy Friday!:j

So just called Barclaycard as it seemed a bit long to process the transfer and it turns out they have been waiting for me to call to do a fraud check

They haven't called, emailed or anything to say please call us and I'm slightly annoyed by that, anyway all done now and should be transferred over night which means I can get one step closer!

Yes I've decided to keep the car, I do love it and I've come up with a plan to start overpaying the loan even if its to get the term shortened.

I'm having really strong spending urges at the moment

  • I think there's something in the air as many people seem to be having the same spending urges!! Keep away from the shops and don't go online!! Only way to save the after-buying guilt!!

    I'm really angry this morning

Barclaycard have finally processed the balance transfer but they've done it twice!
So instead of having £1000 in there and my natwest card paid off I now have £2000 on barclaycard and £1000 in credit on natwest:mad:

I've called BC and they are saying its because I called them yesterday and authorised the 2nd transaction but I didn't I phoned them to see why my 1st transaction was taking so long.

Apparently I now have to call natwest and ask them to transfer the credit to my current account and then pay back the BC with it, or I can cancel the card and they will reverse both within 4 weeks:eek:

So I've called natwest but they can't do anything until the transfer is showing their side which is probably going to be Monday and then the transfer to my current account will take a few days.

Grrr my plan was to pay the final card off on Monday but now it looks like I'm going to be waiting over a week until all the transfers are complete.

This last couple of weeks have gone so slow because I was getting to the end and now having to wait and chase god knows how many depts it doesn't look like that is going to happen.... Sigh!

    Rant over

    Morning Kittycatfan

    Yeah it is so frustrating!

I think we are all in the same boat where we are now at the stage where everything is planned and timed around the debts, it really angers me that my plan is now delayed because of their error not mine! I don't think they understand how much we have put in to this..

On a funnier note I posted this on a post last night but am going to post it again anyway, read the reviews it's had me in stiches all night (not for the feint hearted though!):rotfl:
