  • Hi 1st timer,
you are doing really well. Making choices is tough but the way I see it if i'd learned to make choices years ago I wouldn't be in this mess!!!
My car insurance is due in June also - why not do a quote comparison on gocompare (with quidco cashback) to get an idea of your new premium. I did that last night (another sleepless night) and was pleasantly suprised mine will come down this year. It only lets you go 30 days in advance but saves all the details so you can just update actual quote nearer the time.

    Hi Prettyplease and Kittycatfan!

Thanks for taking the time to read, it's always nice to have outsiders opinions and advice
With regard to the car insurance yes I am going to do that I think, especially with the mood I'm in today! It's been soo slow making any sort of dent recently and today for some reason I've paid in 3 times haha (it's like buses!)

The SOA I have been putting that off since my lightbulb moment in May last year, to be honest i think it will make me sick to look at it - I earn approx £42,000 a year and I have no kids or mortgage so really have no excuse for being in this situation, it's been greed and nothing else....:o

I've decided come payday I will do a spending diary to start with and then once I'm braver maybe do the SOA

I've just popped over to the loans forum and been advised to start overpaying on the loan so that's next once this card is clear.

Yes the soa will come one day but not sure when yet, i am starting the envelope trick next payday and it will be interesting to see if I can stick to it.

Just realised now I've done my balance transfer I can't actually pay any extra off until I know exactly where the money is! Whoops....

How long do balance transfers normally take?

So just got home from work which means no spending and some overtime coming my way:T

I am currently in a predicament, our garden is north facing, which means on our first good day of the year I haven't got a chance to enjoy it :( however I have just had an invite to a friends house which is south facing? But I'll need to take some alcohol for the BBQ??

    Oh I hate decisions....

I'm so excited, only a couple more days until payday!!!

My cheque from the pet insurance came through today too so I really think my final credit card will be paid off come payday...
